i have seen a demo video of this phone at my company's anual meeting (ie SFR france) and can assure you the screen is capacitative. ON first thoughts the phone on the video seemed like a definite real iphone killer

The first touch screen phone to be released was a Motorola MPx. It was released in the first quarter of 2004. The Nokia 7710 was only released in the fourth quarter of 2004. So once again, Motorola made the first breakthrough in mobile technology.
