All instructions to do such a thing are ther in xda devs
Anonymous, 08 Feb 2014Why dont you just go and buy the brand of phones that has so great support for 2 year old phon... morethe reason is because ICS was a crappy OS .. too heavy for old hardware .. it was just like windows vista .. i bought a tab with ics on it and then went back to gingerbread.. gingerbread was like windows xp .. very light weight.. android 4.1 was smooth.. but in case of android 4.4 it is not only smooth but very light weight.. so if the old devices are updated to 4.4 they will work much better and smoother than jellybean
guys seriously i haven't got the 4.3 yet!! & it's been almost 2 months! nothing shows up at update center, also PC companion shows no update either!! a lil help?

4.3 is goodd.
what about Xperia C update? is there any chance for 4.3update and Kitkat Update?
Anonym, 08 Feb 2014I personally know plenty of Xperia 2011 phones who are running Kitkat (CM11 by LegacyXperia) -... moreThank "odin" lol for cm11 and the dedicated sites for users of all brands that get left behind.
I have not checked recently, but I bet if there is not already KK for the Dream there is one in works.

But please, do keep us entertained with all your FUD and reality-rejecting BS.
Lacs17, 08 Feb 2014What about low end phones like xperia m dual? Just bought this phone 2 weeks agoTypically does not get updates but since its Sony you have a chance for one upgrade, to 4.4 maybe (they may skip 4.3, if they dont you likely not getting 4.4). If it was LG or HTC it would be doomed but Sony has been nice enough to upgrade some lower midrange phones in the past, even if it didnt serve all of those phones in any advantageous way. So yes, Xperia M has a good chance.
Anonymous, 08 Feb 2014Why dont you just go and buy the brand of phones that has so great support for 2 year old phon... moreLg updated their Venice to 4.1 and it runs great in most daily situations. It has a cortex a-5 1ghz single core cpu and adreno 200 gpu with only half a gig of ram.
You should really stick to pages where you understand things. IE none. I simply replied to a comment and then responded accordingly to a ignorant reply for it. Only to have ridiculously erratic fanboys like you come in....
Who are you to come in here so immaturely and rudely to tell me where I should and should not be??? Or what device to buy or not buy?? And then to say old devices should not be updated????
It's people like you that have made Sony pages worse than apple pages.

Anonymous, 08 Feb 2014Most S4 variants and even S3 have 4.3. Some S4 already have 4.4 with the rest and the S3 plus ... moreWhy dont you just go and buy the brand of phones that has so great support for 2 year old phones and stay out of Sony threads?
Im so happy that Sony isnt wasting more time on hopeless weak phones like S, SL and Acros S. People who hang on to those AND whine about updates need to be hit on the head, not given new android versions, their phones sux just as much no matter what version they are on, they were all best on Gingerbread!
How many 2011 model Xperia owners has downgraded to Gingerbread? And Xperia U owners as well, even thats a 2012 dual core phone? I have both Xperia U and Xperia Mini and they both are terrible on ICS, they should have stayed on Gingerbread which was excellent for performance, Sony shouldnt have updated ANY of those phones.
Kitkat at last!
AnonD-219262, 08 Feb 2014Read the article first before commenting. Its says firmware update not rom. And for your kind ... moreI know this already. You are just being ignorant and not taking your own advice on reading first because I mentioned the word "Samsung". Even though I only replied to a comment.
And it does not change anything I have said.
malaysia got it?
