The T in the model name means it's only for China Mobile (TD-SCDMA instead of WCDMA/UMTS). I think it's China Mobile that wants their phone models to have as little RAM as possible because it makes their phone models appear cheaper than the competitors (as a way to get more customers).
There are dozens of models from Lenovo with the same specs (or very similar), so it's nothing to write about.
Venky, 09 Feb 2014Well Said Bro, The phone looks like its lower end , they are saying that its mid range????It's low-MIDRANGE phone, not low.
I doubt that low-end phones would have 5MP w/LED-flash, A 2MP front facing camera, and a quad-core MT chip, with 2000mAh battery!!! >.< Foolish humans. Consider it low-end just because of RAM amount. Very clever.
Anonymous, 09 Feb 2014Uhh... mid-range? With 512MB RAM?Well Said Bro, The phone looks like its lower end , they are saying that its mid range????
512mb kind of kills it for me... My 600 rand (about $56) samsung galaxy star spare phone has that much, and let me tell you, it aint alot..
Is lenovo getting mad? Mediatek 512mb? that's scrap. when HTC,huawei, samsung, apple etc are targetting the sky as their limits,Lenovo is designing 512mb for what? where will that phone sell? Let me keep to my my huawei U8550D that's better. Even their vibe z announced throughout the whole world are all fake ones selling on Ebay, amazon and taobao..nowhere to see the vibe z in all phones shops in China at all
no way you can make it with 512mb these days.
Yes, google states the 4.0 onward can run with 512mb, but it doesn't include those 3rd party software. Even whatsapp eats up 40-50mb of your ram when idle. Definitely need 1gb at least to run smoothly
Raker, 08 Feb 20144 core to run on 512mb ram??? drunknovothank google for stating that 512mb is enough which it is thought :P
heck my old xperia pro from 2011 with android 4.0 and 512 mb still supports almost every single game on google play and yes it lists them all yes all gameloft games work every single one of them and nope graphically intense games dont lag on it just mentioned that to say that you all people are hooked on marketing so much that you go to highest specs possible and waste your money even thought weaker hardware works fine too
2,000mAh battery is not enough for hungry Android.
I know how my Samsung Galaxy Note struggles.
Looks like a HTC exterior running iOS 7. Is this what the future holds for Motorola?
