cheebc, 14 Feb 2014but comparing spec SP is better than T2U on the processor, so no way T2U is a successor to SPOf course, you are right, T2U is a midrange phablet and doesnt replace any old model, though i believe it will take most of the sales away from the Z Ultra, unintentionally. The one responsible for the Z Ultra not having LED flash has caused Sony some very serious amounts in lost revenue, i hope they come out with a new hiugh end phablet asap (not that i will buy one anyway)
Anonymous, 13 Feb 2014It already seems like a failure to me. It looks just ugly...the world doesn't revolve around you, your taste doesn't make something a failure
AnonD-219474, 13 Feb 2014Logically, the T2 Ultra should be the successor of the SP. T2 Ultra is D530* and SP is C530*. ... morebut comparing spec SP is better than T2U on the processor, so no way T2U is a successor to SP

Anonymous, 13 Feb 2014This is one of the funniest comments here so far this year. Ok, heres the deal, lots of people... more I didn't say that the Z1 compact was a mid range phone, I was referring to this mid range phone like many others that are all the same. I acknowledged that the Z1 compact was nice.
Sony have done keyboard and stylus before. My friend had a P1 years ago that was based on the now extinct Symbian UIQ. It was a very functional phone that included both a physical key board and a stylus that worked well.
So yeah I agree that the Z1 compact is a nice surprize, but all these other middle range phones look similar to existing sony phones and similar specs to the competition.
The Z1 Ultra does stylus, all they have to do is shrink the size abit and get the stylus working bit better and provide a slot for it.
The X1 pros had keyboard sliders that were quite pleasant and compact. So sony definetely has the know how.
sony new phones are so ugly!!!!!!!!!! look at new T and E1!!!!
mynokia , 13 Feb 2014i think price will also be higher than Moto G.. May be 250 usd... Or 270 usd.. Although... moreLenovo did buy motorola so finger crossed that moto G will still be "Nexus" base
Anonymous, 13 Feb 2014Am missing some of Sonys innovation, lately all the Sony phones look the same. How about givin... moreThis is one of the funniest comments here so far this year. Ok, heres the deal, lots of people are asking for a flagship grade phone of smaller size, finally someone delivers, Sony, the Xperia Z1 Compact slides right into the bullseye, its everything we wanted to have but we didnt want it in a Note sized phone.
Then this guy comes and say it should have been a Note... Wow, thats what i call HOME ALONE, how can you go more off target than that??? thers lots of crap ou can buy if you want a high specced note sized phone, this one was made to NOT be note sized, its the whole purpose of this phone, how is it even possible to defy the main objective???
Anonymous, 13 Feb 2014Am missing some of Sonys innovation, lately all the Sony phones look the same. How about givin... moreooh come on man...from where Xperia Z1 Compact is a mid range phone? it just did the top on all bench mark charts. think before you commenting.
Anonymous, 13 Feb 2014i think this is the succesor of SP so it would have an LTE version plus expected upgade of cam... moreLogically, the T2 Ultra should be the successor of the SP. T2 Ultra is D530* and SP is C530*. Screen size is a lot bigger though
Am missing some of Sonys innovation, lately all the Sony phones look the same. How about giving us a note like phone or a keyboard slider, just something different. Sure the Z1 compact is nice but these mid range phones that aren't much different to the competition won't do you much.
i think this is the succesor of SP so it would have an LTE version plus expected upgade of cam thinking a 13mp for this. and screen would be 4.6-5" .
Anonymous, 13 Feb 2014It already seems like a failure to me. It looks just ugly...You mean, unlike your samsung?
This phone is likely going to be the successor of Xperia L. Xperia SP's successor is likely to have a more powerful CPU and GPU.
Anonymous, 13 Feb 2014It already seems like a failure to me. It looks just ugly...That's an xperia E1, just to have a picture up
Anonymous, 13 Feb 2014It already seems like a failure to me. It looks just ugly...You are talking about yourself then and you have no taste in design
Phonenab, 13 Feb 2014Everyone is going for the mid-range class now, Moto G, possibly LG G2 mini and others to follow. The thing is Sony prices their phones best for mid rang and they already filled up position there.
