Corporate phones are used mainly for reading n replying hundreds of emails per day.Ios is secure doesnt crash and its simple to use.Android may be more flexible but it is so buggy crashy and full with viruses that no1 smart enough will risk using it in a big firm.No ofence but android is for the kids and hippy nerds.
We usually use iPads for stock control & payments. Our manager bought an nexus 7 (off course to save money) & no one was happy to use it. It was really aweful. Had issues making online payments & wasn't really reliable in stock control eaither. It still sits in the drawer & since then all new tablets in the company are just iPads.
It's the story of double edged swords. This is where Android's strength becomes its weakness. What makes Android so great is the openness users and designers enjoy. It enables simultaneous innovation and growth that's the result of unobstructed development by designers and vendors. This is how Android surpassed iOS in innovation in such short time. But this advantage becomes a weakness as some use this openness for the wrong purposes, such as the development of malware, viruses and tools to penetrate business networks that use Android, and steal or damage vital information. And this is one area businesses can not take any chances as stollen and damaged data can potencially be their end. And this is where a closed ecosystem like Apple shines as there's very little or no major security concerns comparing to Android.
gnardog, 14 Feb 2014who really cares??these same users still have their blackberries in a drawer somewhere cuz eve... moreNo one cares about screen size in the corp world, nor do they care about bazing octa core phones, nor eye candy wallpapers, they just wanted a phone/tablet that CAN DO THEIR JOB and BE PRODUCTIVE.
Long ago BB works for them.. now its iOS.
Android is for kids... who couldn't earn much. And had too much time to burn tweaking.
But there's no denying what iOS can't do:

who really cares??these same users still have their blackberries in a drawer somewhere cuz everybody had a blackberry in the corporate world, and, you gotta do what your ceo does.have fun squinting with your 4 inch tiny screens looking at your portfolio on the wsj app.this means nothing.
Jason Melling, 14 Feb 2014This is simply because the corporate world is more concerned with style over substance.Or because they need tools that they know are going to be reliable, devices that are easy to manage in the thousands, and support their existing networking and software infrastructure.
This is simply because the corporate world is more concerned with style over substance.
ill admit IOS is better at serving the corporate world, but that's it. Nothing more. Android will adapt too.
Note 3 is KING of smartphone. S pen is most useful in corporate word for draw a drawings in autocad application, please use Note 3 up to 1 week than post your comment here.

Windows it not even good for normal use, let alone cooperate use. Total fail. My sister has a windows phone, and I will tell you, I will never even consider a windows phone, unless they do some drastic changes. It just plane sucks compared to Android or ios, although it's more secure then android, it really sucks.
But you too, thanks for coming out on full force attack.
Anonymous, 14 Feb 2014Secure?
I'd suggest you look up how many iOS users within the past two years who have been ... moreIOS user myself, and I've never heard of such attacks. The only issue I am having is in the rare occasion my browser will restart because I am using an outdated iphone (4s) with ios7. THat's the only problem I am having.
But thanks for coming out.
We have been telling them with their plastic phone and unreliable android that nothing beats IOS. Iphone My Second Religion
