Aftereight, 17 Feb 2014I don't get it, why such a week spec. For best tablets there should be a minimum of 64 GB, but... moredo you not know that you can expand the memory?just pop in a card and there you go.dont be dumb.
I don't get it, why such a week spec. For best tablets there should be a minimum of 64 GB, but in the 2014 I shoul expect 256 GB minimum, resolution is low, camera is low, everything is crap. There is no pen... Why bother put in in the market... Please make me happy and start doing high end tablets with 1TB, 2560 x 1600 pixels, 16.3 MP, 4608×3456 pixels and best processor you can get.. When you say it is the best, then the word THE BEST should mean it...
Someone please make a petition to Sony to stop the 16GB crap for high end products, i sign. Its a disaster that both this and the Sirius will have only ~10GB internal storage, this is 2014 in case Sony didnt notice.
Im getting a bad taste from Xperia products now and really starting to dislike them. If this is how they want to play then maybe my new TV will not be a Bravia and the Sony a6000 camera i want to buy may be replaced with Nikon D3300. Sony is becoming lame now, stop it.
As an owner of the Tablet Z, I would not even consider upgrading. These upgrades are all marginal for me. I know it is not the best SoC inside Tablet Z, but I am happy with it. For storage, I use 64gb external memory for videos and images, which is enough for even storing multiple movies and tv shows. However, they should have improved the battery. For me the only weak point of the device is the battery.
Seriously if this is true, battery would be the major problem. It's android and at least quad-cored, it's power-hungry -- that's given.
kotleta, 17 Feb 2014stop whining about internal storage. buy 64gg external sd an stfu. you don't need moreI got 64gb microsd cards on each of my phone and tablets.
If you haven't understood the meaning of external sd on android, it's for storing your pictures, music (not bought from play music btw), videos and more.
ALL applications have to be installed on internal memory first, even if you can move them to SD, it's only PARTIAL.
On a 16gb sticker on a package's device, you always get "11-12gb" available, just get lower than 500mb free and you won't be able to install or update anything anymore. Even no more messages receiving on phones.
Maybe you are the one who can live with low disk space, personnaly, i can't. Even on my own PC, i have 7tb of hard drives.
BadProf, 17 Feb 2014I own Tablet Z and this isn't up to scratch as an upgrade. A premium device needs more interna... morehmm, you look like an apple fanboy. Just because apple charge you additional $200 for 64GB, Sony product does not become bad without charging you so much for additional internal storage. Can you show proof that any SD card is expensive than $200 charged by apple for additional 48GB?
onex, 17 Feb 2014and by last year you mean, last 2 months of the year, when S800 tablets launched :) Got my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 since october. It's been 5 months already. Time those Z2 get available in stores, it only depends on Sony being 1 2 or more months after announcement.
