thanks for giving confirmation on grand.no other site gave clarification wheather it is grand or grand 2.
I'm already using KitKat on my S3. Probably going to get S5 after the release. Updates don't matter to me, since I'm going to use CyanogenMod anyway. There will be (daily/weekly) updates then.
If this is true then my Galaxy S3 will be the last device i dluse from Samsung
Galaxy grand is in the list. That would make it almost certain that the S3 will get an update

Still not a bad run. Same as Galaxy NexusGalaxy Nexus uses an old chipset that has been *proved* to not have hardware support for the new kernels.
The S3 is not only a newer phone, it is made by Samsung. It is Samsung's decision to not update the phone, to not include the chipset support. Shameful for a flagship that is not even two years old.
Anonymous, 20 Feb 2014your an obvious fandroid lol i have iphone 4 and it runs fine on ios 7, you have obviously nev... moreYou're a liar, even die hard iOS fans are complaining of the terrible lag on the iPhone 4 running iOS7
well i guess no more samsung for me as well sick an tired of their update policy.
What about with the S3 I747???? it has 2gb of ram, and besides of that i believe, plenty of samsnung phones can hold the 4.4, it only has to release some space of the infamous touchwiz, it´s nice, but i might think it´s overloaded with useless applets!!!
P.S. sorry for my english.
If that's the case, hopefully they release a more stable version of the 4.3 firmware. Leaving the consumer with a firmware with multiple issues who cant upgrade nor downgrade definitely leaves a bad taste for the company.
Anonymous, 20 Feb 2014Iphone 4 runs like dog crap on iOS 7, terrible performance. That is very wrong. It's works smoothly on it.
