oh well only 615 is quadcore well again i guess qualcomm did it to say " we got that too kid! "
Anonymous, 24 Feb 2014Which is a disappointment. Should have had 805.When they manufactured the Z2 S805 was not released yet ... even in the S5 probably you won't see it
maybe we will see it in the xperia z2 ultra few months from now
AnonD-77292, 24 Feb 2014I hope the next Nexus will have 64Bit CPU (if there will be any new Nexus at all)Fret not my Android brethren...despite the rumors i am sure the Nexus line isn't going anywhere. If this comes to pass, it will be a ball-less move by Google to cave to any OEM as the rumors might suggest. Despite the presence of GPe edition devices...a Nexus device will push Android in the direction Google wants it to go not ideas from OEMs skins.
harlekkin, 24 Feb 2014Most PC's don't even come with 8, I highly doubt it... But you never know right? Back 12 years... morewait 8 cores where? this ones?? if it is damn it qualcom !
AnonD-19153, 24 Feb 2014Exactly that's what's in my mind You sir are awesome no offence but see some people are kind of stupid they just get drawn into whit names even thought its not really good for now qualcom had to do it to keep its customers !:) and just wait there will be awesome stuff for it soon... atleast i will start making one :D
AnonD-169727, 24 Feb 2014Unfortunately, Sony doesn't have a magical hat where it can pull out a processor from, which h... moreI realize that. For me, it would make more sense to release a Z2 with 805 in 3-4 months time rather than release it now running the 801. What I would like to see also is 1080p recording @ 120fps =)
:o cool
im waiting for nexus 5 (2015) its gonna be AWeesoome :D im currently loving my nexus 4 :) upraged from s4
btw these SoCs are interesting :o :) but i can't understand a thig completly here 801 is faster then the others or its not as its not 64-bit but high frequry and i dont know 64-bit ones freq
What a change?
Qualcomm just mocked at mediatek stating that 8 core is useless and now suddenly what happ qualcomm.

You sir are awesome
bla bla bla, 24 Feb 20148 core , holy , is that necessary ???????? Most PC's don't even come with 8, I highly doubt it... But you never know right? Back 12 years ago we thought 80GB was huge.

And where is the cortex a57 ? All i see now is chipsets with minor performance improvment.
What we really need, especially from a handset perspective, is not so much 64-bit code, but rather a drop in the manufacturing process from the current 28nm. Cooler running CPUs that use less power but crunches more numbers at the same time. Intel already has 14nm processors on their road map for this year. Surely Qualcomm makes enough money for them to step up in this regard.
Abourabba, 24 Feb 2014Snapdragon 801 already on the Xperia Z2 Which is a disappointment. Should have had 805.
I hope the next Nexus will have 64Bit CPU (if there will be any new Nexus at all)
AnonD-92238, 24 Feb 2014Does these chipsets supports flappy bird ?? :vof course no man .. flappy bird needs the next generation chips :D
Does these chipsets supports flappy bird ?? :v
bla bla bla, 24 Feb 20148 core , holy , is that necessary ???????? In mobile world yes , less power consumption for more power, in PC world no (maybe for servers).
