AnonD-234494, 26 Feb 2014250 the 8GB version?no, in PH that's the dual-sim 16GB variant, 8GB dual-sim variant is at 10000 PhP (~$215). given the shipping costs and because it's not single sim, the pricing is still pretty attractive.
AnonD-81610, 26 Feb 2014Here in EU Xperia SP costs 230€ while Moto G costs 170€ (amazon.de prices).
For 60€ more you ... moreWant to bet the Moto G sold more than the SP?
The SP is an older phone and has had its price decline over time. Want to compare the price of the SP on launch vs Moto G on launch?
That mere 60 dollar difference is 140% of the value of the Moto G.
So if those advantages matter to a buyer like LTE, expandable memory and better camera then they will choose the SP. But what if someone said add 60 to the SP and you can get a Nexus?
AnonD-81610, 26 Feb 2014You don't need to be a genius to figure out that his words are true!Just for information Motorola sold 1,24,800 Moto g in India in just 20 days with only 1 e-commerce selling partner & no brick & mortar store, it is still being back ordered.
BTW price here is 225 USD( delivered at your doorstep with no additional TAX) for 16 GB Dual SIM with charger & headphones inside the box.
Here in philippines moto g cost 11,500 (250 USD) its not considered here as a budget phone anymore.
So sad i had been waiting it here since december ;(
Check your Moto G for an update that has been released for KitKat - OTG is back!

Anonymous, 26 Feb 2014The Nokia X, X+ and XL are a level lower than Moto G. Not sure why people are comparing them w... moreWell the XL is not far, because the price will be at least $50 lower and the cameras a bit better and the screen is bigger too.
Moto G? Overpriced. $200 if you are lucky to get it cheap, $260 if you live in Europe and have to get it from places like Amazon UK. That is a level higher pricing compared to where the phone is for some US customers that can get the 16GB version below $200.
Sure 8GB version is cheap, but also useless. The phone has no external memory card, no SD card. You are stuck with the memory you buy and 16GB is on the lower useable limit. 1GB RAM is nothing impressive either. Phones cameras are way beyond last year and even Chinese phones have better ones. 1.3Mpx front camera? What a joke. The phone is also large for a 4.5" screen and Moto X proves it when packing 4.7" into the same dimensions. Moto G? = cut down, lower cost Moto X. The phone is hyped and barely available. Hard to get if you are not in US or UK, maybe Germany. Otherwise you have to get it shipped from one of these to get it. Liked it and wanted to buy it at first too, then made my research and found there are better phones that have even better prices. Just look around.
If this is all true then what are the numbers?? How many handsets where actually sold??? Of course words with NO PROVE is a total waste of time in 2014.
The Nokia X, X+ and XL are a level lower than Moto G. Not sure why people are comparing them with Moto G.
We are vaguely proud of Motorola Moto G as Indian phone lovers. But the product is still not available to the reach of the prospect buyers in India.Advertising and praise is hovering in the air unnecessary loud.Chanting moto g is every phone web.But a company's goodwill and faith depends on its availability and service centres .So its better to buy a bit inferior product to have better service available in the locality.
AnonD-43136, 26 Feb 2014And you get Sony updates that you have to wait forever for and then come with a thousand bugs!... moreI don't have much issues about jellybean. I could stay with Jellybean because I don't find anything wrong with it. It's fast and runs all games I play
AnonD-203978, 26 Feb 2014Hmmmm, how close is it to the Moto G in price where you are?
