iPhone is the most popular smartphone in Japan right now, even beating their keitai denwa alias Japan-centric mobile phones. Nokia will suffer the same fate like before if they force to sell Nokia X in there. While Korea, US and Canada still admire Samsung Galaxy series no matter what. LOL!
The Legend returns wit al new stufs...samsung,get ready to shutter down..
Guys lets be honest. Not many Americans would buy Nokia. Nokia is not the same for Europeans and Americans. Plus with contracts Americans get high end phones at a "fair" price. In Europe there are a lot of countries that these contracts are non-existent or they are such a thievery that they are not worth going for (i.e. my country Cyprus). They will probably out more "android" devices later on if MS does not oppose or merge Nokia completely, which will be of higher tech and those will probably also arrive in the US(etc.).
hahahahaha, microsoft scared it might outsell lumia 520, even though they are shooting themselves in the foot anyways.
Hey ms, fire than eflop as soon as possible. i know you are too large to be sold out like nokia but that man will cause you a heavy loss. I dont know whether it is trap or poor vision, that man destroy every company where he goes.
Good riddance. We don't need another half baked phone on the market.
shawn, 26 Feb 2014Who cares about this low end phone, get it off the site. I'm tired of reading about it. Nexus ... moreIts an entry level android phone smartass! Go and buy your nexus! I'm using a G2 but I still wanna have this phone.

Nokia X series is a response for who want a modern phone built whith quality standard and low cost.
This gonna be a good study case for other contenders.
No problemo, as long as it launch in Indonesia. :)
US, Canada, Korea, Japan already have all the flagship phones in the world :D
AnonD-86841, 26 Feb 2014Not a world wide launch for the nokia android phone. And you can see why they are going down t... moreDuh...
Believeme not, 27 Feb 2014The can launch the Nokia X only at the factory nobody wants dummy phonesPlenty of people do. Particularly in developing markets.
If there wasn't a demand, they wouldn't keep making them.
awaiting that Nokia XL+ with 8mp and led flash and 16 GB with 1gb ram.... that's basically the friggin N8 in a sense
north america and japan was never Nokia's stronghold anyway.
that's why in 2007 the original iphone could easily penetrate those markets.
in countries where Nokia are strong, the original iphone struggled to make an existence there. since Nokia's phone (especially the N-series) were generally had better specs and functionality than the iphone.

Who was going to buy the Nokia X over here. Take them home to your kids.
So they are doing the same as they did with n9
Why did Nokia even bother with this variation of Android for this X range? Why not just release it with WP? Isn't WindowsPhone meant to be fast and smooth on low end phones?
[deleted post]You'll more than likely be able to import it if you want it.
Before you do, know that 3G only operates on 900 / 2100 bands on any of the X devices. I got hyped about it before I realised this.
Stephen Elop again????
This is the big problem with Microsoft!
Launching new products in selected countries is bad bad strategy!
