Best exwmple is the design. HTC came out with an all new design while Samsung is using the same designas S3/S4 for S5 and old Note design for Note 3. Fake leather cover is the best new design feature? Please.
I doubt yore an HTC fan. Your comment maakes no sense.

Samsung removes benchmark optimization code from Android 4.4
Code allowed for benchmark manipulation by removing CPU throttling limitation
Samsung may have learned its lesson from the benchmark inflation affair, with a report suggesting the latest software updates from the company gives a more accurate result of a device's capabilities. Code relating to optimizing the processor of the company's smartphones in earlier releases of Android customized for the devices appears to be missing in Android 4.4 updates, which could be a sign it has been removed completely.
A report in July last year claimed the GPU in the Galaxy S4 was clocked at 480MHz when running applications, yet a popular benchmarking utility saw it raised to 532MHz. A similar test for the processor found equally-concerning optimizations, and a later code examination found that the software on the device checked to see if specific benchmark applications were being run, altering parameters in each case. The smartphones appeared to limit the processor speed under normal use, possibly an attempt to preserve the device by not causing any extra unwanted heat, but removed the limits when benchmarks were in use.
Check the latest scores of vatious devices on the new Antutu 4 app. Then you will have an idea of note scores

As an HTC fan, I don't think that the current One is even on the same level as the Note 3. For the last 2 generations Samsung has outclassed HTC in everyway. I hope HTC will make a comeback, but we'll see.
That is my next Smarphone. I used to own SGS1 SGS2 SG Note 1 SGS 3 SGS 4 and now Note 3 and its my last samsungo phone. Every single one had bugs. Poor auto brightness i was experiencing on every samsung phone. How is that possible? My friends as well. No more Samsung it has more features but i said no more! I was giving chance to Samsung from 4 years past. That is enough.
4.4.2 on Note 3 is bugged auto rotation - thats ridicules! So FF Samsung - moving to HTC!

1) Kept the capacitive buttons there and saved the screen space for more useful purposes (my preference).
2) Made the screen bigger.
3) Made the phone smaller.
Instead HTC opted for a bigger phone, with a smaller screen, and wasted screen space on top of that, plus a useless enormous bezel that makes the phone look dumb.

Those roun... moreYeah, I feel like they took a great design in the original HTC One and "tweaked" it into something awkward that just doesn't look as good. It often seems like great designs are ruined in subsequent iterations of a product, by a need to make it seem new and different.
And there's still that complete waste of space between the bottom of the screen and the bottom speaker, for nothing but the HTC logo. They should have kept the capacitive buttons and not wasted the screen space with buttons. It also makes the phone look stupid, having the onscreen buttons and then a huge band of wasted space below it.
This might be the Smartphone, that makes Samsung finally release it Metal Bodied Smartphones,as if this Smartphone is more Popular than the Galaxy S5,then Samsung will need a Smartphone to compete with this one,Just can"t wait to see what type of camera we get from HTC,an with a micro sd card slot an F.M radio, people will really choose this phone over Samsungs
Listen people: htc one, one mini, motorola x, samsung galaxy S5 are the only three mobiles having 16:9 native aspect ratio for their sensors. This is important because all the people see photos on computer's screen or big led/plasma televisions, all having 16:9 aspect ratio. Almost No one prints on paper photos nowdays. Now, full hd resolution means sharp 2 mp,so htc one's 4 mp camera is more than enough to make perfect picures to be seen on tv/pc monitor. But in the near future we will use 4k tv's. 4k tv have around 8,3 mp, so if you make crystal clear 9 mp pictures will be more than enough. The megapixel race must stop and manufacturers must make bigger sensors with bigger pixels, less in number. Quality is not made by the number of megapixels, quality is made by the dimension of sensor and the quality of the lenses, especially at mobile phones

Just love the look of this phone, if it is true that there is a sd card slot and the camera is what the hype says then this is my next phone(currently z1)
Already pre-ordered the Z2 but will also consider getting this on my upgrade or Sim Free. The 32gb plus sd card slot elevates this to must consider in my view! From my perspective, I doubt any phone will better these two for some time.
do not forget that 5 mp will be in 16:9 native. if will be 5 mp... it is like setting an 8 mp camera from useless 4:3 aspect ratio to modern 16:9. besides, the twin sensor will do a great job for sure
i liked HTC One Latest
already the ohone of the year 2014. i am already in love
Speed is the only thing which provide us to perform as quick as possible.
well said bro..milliseconds will never cause a problem.
the world of mobile phones is getting hectic.. and does that mean that the htc one for example will be a slow, bad mobile phone in 3 yrs time? do you really believe so?
