sico, 07 Apr 2009Do asus P320 have the capability of running the 6.5 os?Yes Asus P320 supports WM 6.5, I downloaded it from XDA forum. It's quite stable. It also has an Auto Detect of GPRS functionality. This saves much of our time configuring the GPRS connection manually. The Honey comb structure is really awesome.

Yes asus p320 can run WM6.5

the only thing it is not officially supported till now( but you can get unofficial rom from XDA forum)

ITs fast & stable (except some IMEI problems)

Needs official Support to make WM6.5 for the masses. as most of the user recently purchased p320 with WM 6.1

You know, I'm pretty pleased with the new Microsoft interface. Just the thought of not having to pull out my stylus every time I try to navigate Windows Media Player Mobile (yes, I use it) is ultra comforting. Sort of like getting up to change the channel on my TV, I just want to relax in my proverbial couch and let one thumb or finger do all the work.

...but I'm completely unexcited I am about it. Ever since the Palm Pre introduction in January, I've been a big fanboy. The Pre seems to bridge the iPhone & Blackberry gap pretty smoothly, and I can see myself walking away from Microsoft and never looking back very soon.

If you haven't seen it yet, take a look http://palmprefix.com/2009/02/07/post-2/

You won't get WM 6.5 for Diamond, unless HTC makes some last minute changes (news from the inside), but for Touch Diamond2 and Touch Pro2, Yes, you will get WM 6.5.

Anonymous, 17 Feb 2009beautiful but not great.its better than nothing.gud job microsoftYup. Mothing great. Mostly UI fixes. Don't think there'll be any changes or rather, significant changes to functions. But for WM users, there's good news. 1) Toshiba demoed a Snapdragon WM device. 2) WM6.5 shows a revamped more thumb friendly interface which indicates WM7.0 is going to be some major update. So...

Yes X1 can upgrade to WM6.5. BUT WM updates come from manufacturers not Microsoft. So far as I know, SE doesn't have a 'reliable' reputation when it comes to releasing major software updates... BUT, this is after all Windows Mobile. You can always get custom ROMS.
