I hated mine. Design wise, sound, screen and fluidity were great, but batery and ergonomic wise it was a disaster. I've had it easier turning on my gf's Note 3 and using it then my own One with a whole inch smaller screed, wtf.
Design proces for new HTC One:
Take everything that was awesome about the original HTC One design, especially the way it was cut from single piece of aluminum, and give it those extra hints of fugliness that were missing. Make the speaker grills asymmetrical, because beauty loves symmetry and beauty is definitely not what were after. Add a bit of lip to the front of the phone, ruining the seamless elegance of the original One. Turn the huge bezel at the bottom of the screen into a waste of space that only makes the screen smaller than it could be or the phone larger than it needs to be. (Note how even the Max, with its huge screen uses capactive buttons to make the screen space more useful.) Strangely keep the only design flaw in the original One, the big bezels at the side of the screen.
Yeah, the new HTC One is a nice phone. But it's definitely a step down from the original One and much more run of the mill.
To all those who feel so much proud in saying Galaxy S5 is last year's model, I ask, how much change do u see in this new model except a 2nd camera (?) and a bit of change in flash. rest is all same, and it has even a larger body to screen ratio than Sony Xperia Z2.
Am not impressed at all. Sam Galaxy S5 and Sony Z2 are still the best devices of 2014.
Smuty, 10 Mar 2014Really. How massively successful was it? As far as numbers speak Htc is still going down the drain. No one said the ONE was a sales success. It lagged behind quite a bit compared to its competitors if you are only looking at sales numbers. The HTC ONE was a huge success when you looked at reception from critics and buyers. Pretty much everyone rated it the best phone of 2013 and gave it very high marks.
MA, 10 Mar 2014Yes I'm sure they've leant the terrible lessons from the massively successful HTC One. Really. How massively successful was it? As far as numbers speak Htc is still going down the drain.

Kaansay, 10 Mar 2014Agree....Moreover, fingerpirnt sensor is not available? No reason to change my htc one m7 by b... moreIf the fingerprint sensor will be present in this new HTC ONE. It will be touch screen right through the phone and NOT a physical sensor as does the HTC MAX ONE.
AnonD-219469, 10 Mar 2014Why did HTC change the symmetry of the speakers...The speaker look way better on the HTC ONE.Agree....Moreover, fingerpirnt sensor is not available? No reason to change my htc one m7 by by the htc one m8

I have a HTC One. This all new One or wait ever looks ugly because of the onscreen button. So half of the screen is already gone. Do you see area below the Taskbar Menu? And the four corners are pretty roundy.....why not to keep those square shaped ? God knows which phone I am gonna buy next....
