Are you all iboys so dumb???
Samsung have also many FRAND (essential) patents , (that Apple also pay).
The point is , that as long as Nokia make handsets, they need Samsung's (essential) patents too. So Nokia cross-license them, so no one pay.
As long as Nokia stops making handsets , they don't need cross-license , and MS will start to take money.
It will affect even your lovely Apple(even if they hade not much to cross-license)
I think the inventor of technology is not a patent troll. There is a movie called flash of genius where Ford stole the intermittent windsheild wiper from a little inventor. He finally won in court after like 20 years. He lost everything. Nokia can do what it wants with its patents. They are non standard patents. And Samsung is a horrible manufacturer anyway. Windows has come to ARM. There's no going back.
maybe now they would start innovating....
just license the patents.... because of FRAND microsoft cannot reject the patents
guess what... if you dont infringe you wont get sued...
they just want something for nothing...
open your wallets and pay before you decide to steal. karma will eventually catch up to you
Google just did it with Motorola. why didn't the KEA complain then?
I don't see any grounds that can stop this since microsoft do not have a mobile hardware division which is the one they are buying nokia for. Patents are always part of it and yes patent war is very rampant now. It just a matter of how the court of law tackles this lawsuites. If you don't want to hinder technology and stop monopoly then make everything a free competition by just paying a small royalty for the patent maker. How every company is hungry over there patents is just so absurd making the competition steep. Like apple vs samsung, they are making every detail of their product an issue so the market becomes uncompetitive. Hence samsungs reply of producing several models every month to saturate it and make us of this technique to delay any patent issues until they no longer offer the product sice they can already have it phased out. FTC should not complicate little issues and make technology market open as possible.
hope the deal does not go through and Nokia stays free from Microsoft!!!!
