Twin Cameras, Up to 128gig storage with card, front speakers, good front camera, 2600 batt ok with a more efficient internals, good structure etc.. Tick but ill wait for a mini version. There is an army or people that silently feel some phones are just two big to hold and manipulate with comfort across the screen but well done HTC. Across the range there is quite a bit going for you . . overall I suppose. I would still like to see the ultra sexy thin HTC ONE "S" maintained but with even more future proof specs. Its a great size.
Kopi-O-Siew-Dai, 12 Mar 2014If you ask me, yes the current HTC One is enough! Why bother to change if you feel this new on... more10 000mAH if its feasible, cost size weight and recharge rate. Why not? But currently its technically not feasible.
Is it too much to ask for 32gb? or even 64gb? To them previously, its totally within human technology and cost. 64+ slot.. i bet even you will not refuse.
Anonymous, 12 Mar 20144 inchers is enough... why need 5 inch?? old htc one sensor good enough... why need to upgrad... moreIf you ask me, yes the current HTC One is enough! Why bother to change if you feel this new one is so bad? 2600mah battery still not enough?? What about if HTC give you a 10000mah, but I bet it will still not enough for you. 16GB not enough? THere is a SD slot. What are you installing? Running a server? Please stop trolling Anonymous. I think you shouldn't be getting a smartphone in the first place.
Kopi-O-Siew-Dai, 12 Mar 2014Wait.... I read that it has a SD card slot. Missing FM radio? There is Stereo FM radio with RD... more4 inchers is enough... why need 5 inch??
old htc one sensor good enough... why need to upgrade??
battery 1800mAH good enough!.. why need 2600??
S600 is enough!.. why need S801??
HTC is improving everything other then storage?? and asking for same price?? Comeon .. 16gb should be retired. sd slot or not.
Anonymous, 12 Mar 2014Dealbreakers: 1. SD SLOTS 2. FM RADIO 3. REMOVABLE BATTERY 4. MORE THEN 16GB.. (HEY!... it... moreWait.... I read that it has a SD card slot. Missing FM radio? There is Stereo FM radio with RDS according to the specs page. Removal battery? What for if it will never be damaged? More than 16GB? Well, it has a SD card slot onboard already. You trolling? Yes, for sure!
Eric :D, 12 Mar 2014If all these rumours are true, then HTC has degraded the phone from the original One. It make... moreThey should just use the Logo as a capacitive touch button...
The logo just do nothing! is a eye sore and pain.. especially with the giant bezel.
If all these rumours are true, then HTC has degraded the phone from the original One. It makes no sense to add on-screen buttons and keep the bezel, if they want their logo on the phone, put it on the back like apple. Also, they could've at least improved the camera resolution because 4 MP just doesn't cut it these days. The battery is a big downfall too.
1. SD SLOTS
2. FM RADIO
3. REMOVABLE BATTERY
4. MORE THEN 16GB.. (HEY!... its the year of 2014.. and you still charge us with small size 16gb at same or more price??)
Why, 11 Mar 2014HTC why softkeys why! ?Yup, the onscreen keys are just an epic fail.
Notice that this phone is basically a centimeter taller than the original HTC One. Why? Because they need that huge waste of space for the HTC logo below the screen. They made the screen bigger, went with softkeys, and then still kept and enormous bezel, which is now completely pointless, since it doesn't house the capacitive buttons. It's moronic.
They could have at least kept the size of the phone the same.
The whole point of softkeys is to reclaim bezel space for full screen apps. Leaving the bezel there but moving the keys to the screen is asinine.
Anonymous, 11 Mar 2014where you get your info from?I got a tip from a reliable source(friend) in Taiwan. So let's hope for the best.
Well it sure is on of the most leaked phones ever.. Photos, video, "specs".. But doesn't the absence of benchmark tests bother you? Really how come we didn't see any benchmarking? Does HTC maybe has an ace in it sleeve? Would that explain mocking the SGS5? Would be great though if One comes with Snapdragon 805 on board, but that is probably just too much to expect.
Joey, 11 Mar 2014its gone from a large smartphone to a phablet!!!Why call it a phablet? By your words it would make all 5inch phones a phablet( Samsung S4 and S5, Sony Z,Z1 and many more)
Just like a lot of commentators here I feel the same way about the camera and the battery capacity. I had the original one and those were my main issues (especially the camera). I stopped using a phone's camera completely because I fell for their marketing gimmick of ultra pixels.
If it turns out that HTC has indeed gone ahead with a 4 ultra pixel cam then count me out. Battery life is another issue. I'm using a note 3 and I need at least 3000mah.
I am debating between this and the z2. I'll still wait for the official word before I finalize my decision.
