Even if they make 3 MP camera with QVGA front camera,2 GB internal with no mem card support and a downgraded 5 inch display as well they will be more happy to know that its a device worth the buy and worth a penny. No matter how much expensive it is more than a note 3 as well. Better pay the prices of apple to a beggar.
i will say it simple Iphone 6 2014 design with 2012 specs. cant believe what there using. now amount of optimising will make it as fast as the droids with quad core. and 8 mp camera. pants. does not what lenses or optics, its 8 mp and 2 years behind the competition. I-Flop. big time
Apple fans think that they are using innovative and latest technology phone. To then what apple do is absolutely okay for them. Even if apple makes a phone of lower resolution than eight megapixel and claims the so called "better quality" apple fans will feel themselves as great. No matter what apple is do is absolutely is right. Only apple products are innovative and test of the world is not. They are great and they use innovative and better quality product.

Not increasing the Resolution would be lazy. Bringing in other improvements would be good but It's 2014, smartphone standard is 13 for flagships, may even be 16. It will probly be bigger anyway, they can increase the resolution without decreasing pixel size.
Tom-Helge, 22 Mar 2014I can for sure say that my Galaxy S4 camera quality beats the living crap out of the iPhone 5S... moreThose photos are nothing impressive, and I notice they're all taken in good light. Try low light and see the Apple difference. And in any conditions there's no way you can beat iPhone with iPro lens.
My iPhone 5s is the best camera I have had in my life.
This is good. If the iPhone 6 produces better pictures over the iPhone 5S while retaining the same resolution, it's welcomed. The only good use of higher megapixels has been in the Nokia 808 PureView and Lumia 1020 till date and there's no phone in the market yet that can seriously be a threat to these two phones while retaining pocketability.
AnonD-105611, 22 Mar 2014Yeah, you just can't keep Nokia out of these innovations. HTC is trying to invent warm water, ... moreAlthough the 1520 shows Lumia does not have best sensor, but awesome sensor and best resolution.
To shoot 4k video, the sensor need to be bigger than 8mp to offer digital stabilisation instead of ois because 4k video alone measures 3840x2160 (8.3mp)..if this rumour turn out to be true, there will be no 4k recording in the next iphone which is unlikely for apple..
AnonD-79632, 22 Mar 2014Apple isint that stupid to make a 8mp on there new device. yur r right..

HTC is trying to invent warm water, but Nokia is already boiling it, their pureview is still the best camera on phones, it even beats cheap cameras, of course it can't compete with 500€ camera especially not DSLR, BUT, it's the most decent camera that fits right in your pocket. I don't know whether people are blind, but HTC one 'ultrapixel' isn't really all that ultra, from photos I've seen on the internet (on forums and such) It just lacks detail, and low light performance isn't even all that great.
AnonD-155636, 22 Mar 2014LOL, ever seen a HTC smartphone? Are they idiots too?Yes, 4MP on One produces photos you can laugh at. And Lumia 925 takes better low light photos with double the resolution.
Tom-Helge, 22 Mar 2014I can for sure say that my Galaxy S4 camera quality beats the living crap out of the iPhone 5S... moreno use suggesting it... fruity fanatics wont accept the truth.. and vl continue to follow the fruit tree blindly...
its in der genes nowadays i guess...
I don't normally have a lot of positive things to say about Apple's over-hyped, idea stealing, derivative phones. But I have to say, if this is true, I wish more flagship phones would stick to 8MP.
No one needs more resolution than that for the purposes of just about all photography that people do. The only good use of more pixels has been Nokia's 41MP pureview, that uses the extra pixels to oversample for color and to reduce noise, and then still only outputs 5MP images. It's also useful for lossless digital zooming.
But if people aren't going to go the 41MP route, it is much smarter to focus on other things that are more important to image quality. In addition, given a sensor of a particular physical size (say a 1/3.2 sensor, like the iPhone 5S) if you have fewer pixels, they can be larger, which is better both for color, reducing noise, and low light photography.
Those are all things that you're going to notice in your photos. Indeed, a lot of people confuse noise with low resolution, when it actually may be the cause of higher resolution on a small sensor.
But unless you're planning to blow up your photos to poster size, you're not going to notice the difference between 8MP and anything higher.
Barnabas, 22 Mar 2014Nobody needs more than 8MPYou're right. Whether you upload 8Mpx or 13Mpx to Facebook makes no difference in the end. I would be that less than 10% of people actually download photos to their PC to view or edit them.
