Anonymous, 23 Mar 2014I-Phone sales are going down so its not Virgin mobile doing that, apple had to that for its salesiPhone keeps making sales records while you say it is going down. lol
Limited, 22 Mar 2014READ. CDMA = no SIM card = GSM won't work.It is an iPhone which all have SIM slots, once it is unlocked it can work on either CDMA or GSM.
Anonymous, 22 Mar 2014It will be unlockable in 2015: http://virginmobileusa.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/58... moreGood to know, thanks for sharing, the iphone 5s gold I got from virgin mobile yesterday has a sim card slot, loved it. According to that message, I assume it will be unlockable in 2015. Even if not, I'm cool with their monthly plan rate. iOS is the best since your phone will have to connect to LTE network 24/7, android will easily leak your personal info out, not as secured as iOS. :D

Good prices, but I don't want to support Richard Branson or Tim Cook. They both think that global warming "deniers" should get shut up and ignored. I don't know for sure whether humans are warming the earth enough to do damage or not (doesn't the earth warm and cool by itself all the time?), but I do know I don't like people telling others to shut up and pay money to fix a problem that may or may not exist, and that we may or may not be able to fix with loads of money. No sales to me, guys.

It's being sold at U$S900 off contract around here, the 16gb version.. -.-
well, I bought one a few hours ago, roughly about $420 after tax, free overnight shipping, couldn't resist this deal because of the $30/month for 300 minutes talk, unlimited texts/data, can cancel or start the service at anytime. If there's not enough talk time, just use google voice, the plan sounds great to me anyway! :D
AT&T and Verizon's 2 year non-stop commitment would costs you extra (60-30) x 24 = $720 over 24 months and merely a few hundred Mb of data per month, not to mention that you have to pay an initial fee of $199+tax, their contract deals are crap!!!

http://virginmobileusa.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/58... moreYou may want to read that again, it says the procedures will be in place by then, not that phones will be unlocked that day. This just mean that finally USA is entering the next level, where Europe was 5-6 years ago, and carriers are forced to provide unlock decent unlock services.
In the old days when phones used to be locked were i come from the typical policy was to release a free unlock code on the day the contract was up, that was typical one year for private subscribers, since it is 2 years in USA i assume you can have it unlocked after 24 months.
Typically, one still have to request the unlock code, either through online service or through calling customer service, they are not sent out automatically.
It will be unlockable in 2015:
I wanted to buy this phone for my sister dang, just when I got fired yesterday :/
