July... screw price, size, looks blah blah blah an all the other crap but JULY? WTF man that sucks
If this price proves correct it will be very surprising as the company brilliantly launched the 5800 at a formidable price. I would be inclined to think that the launch price will be nearer to £399.00. Any higher is dangerous as this handset faces a very strong alternative in its own range which you all appear to agree on: the N85. As someone here as already mentioned the Innov8 cannot be ignored either.
the greatest nokia phone imo was the n95 8gig
now, nokia has been releasing overpriced outdated stuff..
i'd still prefer n95 than this
What a price!!!!! Who is that dumb fool who would give that much for this crap?!
For this money you can buy an iPhone + a digital camera and you have the best available in the world!
Use your brains people! I know you fanboys are brainless sheep’s, but still!!!!
Ridiculous. It's like Nokia is asking to lose their market share. Why anyone would get this at such a high price over the Innov8 which will be LOADS cheaper by the time it comes out is beyond me. Nokia's gone crazy.
i bet the 12MP CANNOT capture a great quality picture but bulky large picture
don't think higher megapixel can produce greater quality
see those soon expire 5mp,8MP produce a lot of rubbish photo
even though the picture are not VIVID
i think those soon expire fans never transfer the picture to computer to view at a large screen but viewing at their outdated color small screen
i can prove it
soon expire 8MP grab the LAST PLACE

this phone can change the aperture at F2.8/3.2/4.8
very similar to Digital SLR camera/Digital camera
Q:what is aperture?
A:the size of aperture is control by the diaphragm, it can control the amount of light entering the image sensor/film
object in bright light :
the size of the aperture is decreased
object in dim light
the size of the aperture is increased
N86 can use different size of aperture
object in bright light :

sartre, 24 Feb 2009i had the N85 and it was the best phone i've ever owned. it can do anything, it can charge via... morecharge via usb and even has an FM transmitter...
Yeah, great technology from 2004...with certain company's E680 model...touchscreen too!
nice feature set.. but wouldnt pay tha price...and dont think i would ever buy another nokia.. *windows mobile 4life*
from reading all your comments i don't think any of u guys have ever used the N95, N96 or N85 before. i know the price is inflated, lags behind in many features, but believe me when i say this phone is pure quality. plus, i prefer the nokia software that comes with the phone, might not be the best but its simple and hassle free.
i had the N85 and it was the best phone i've ever owned. it can do anything, it can charge via usb and even has an FM transmitter. i mean for entertainment purposes it was brilliant, movies looked ultra crisp on the OLED screen and 8GB is a lot of space for music playback. 5mp picture taking was already good enough, curious to see how 8mp will look.
Ppl idou will be avalible in 2010 mid
symbian foundation (nokia own the symbian foundation) anounce that first open source will be anounced at mid of 2010
and firs phone will be made by nokia
There is a reason why Nokia profits are down 30%. They are asking too much for their phones under the current economic climate.
That price tag is extremely bad marketing, and yes, on the verge of insanity. What are they thinking? Since it will be over a half year behind the other 8 mp's on the market, or even more so, they must cut that price at half.
nokia camphone is already dead, viva 12mp idou of sony e
Whos going to pay that for a mobile must be stupid,as you want to see an read a review first about the final released version as we have only seen the prototype images,an if it turns out like the N85 not able to be worth the upgrade from the N95 8gb,the N96 was not good upgrade, so will be hoping the N86 turns out be a Top Quality phone from Nokia or loads will start turning there backs on Nokias mobiles,
all of nokia phones are ugly...
