Q:what is aperture?
A:the size of aperture is control by the diaphragm, it can control the amount of light entering the image sensor/film
object in bright light :
the size of the aperture is decreased
object in dim light
the size of the aperture is increased
N86 can use different size of aperture

object in dim light

spoiling money for a 8MP with a led flash.[HUH......]man how funny isnt it
guys im happy with my n82
For the closest Digicam like Phone I would prefer the c905 due to the strong xenon flash, dedicated camera keys and organized Digicam like menu (inspired by sony's cyberhot). But if you're looking for a smartphone, music and a good organizer or even an all in one device then go for n86.
C905-pure digicam (greater camera),good in music, greater gallery (have you seen the psp)
N86-good in digicam,greater in music(sony you should have used 3.5mm jack rather than fast ports),greater display(Duh it's OLED),good gallery (3d rotater)
Andrew, 23 Feb 2009Nokia is realy nice, but if you are looking for a realy good camera phone, take Sony Ericsson C... moreI bet this one will have a better camera, mostly because of 28mm wide.
great 8MP
it aperture can change at F/2.8, F/3.2, F/4.8
compare to some other 8MP or higher which it aperture is fixed , this 8MP better
Erick, 23 Feb 2009I suggest an alternative to the N86 if the price is seriously over £600.00. Buy the N85 or N79... moreThats True you know, make sense...
Jake, 23 Feb 2009yea! i think just grabbed the n85.. it's really good.. only the camera is different.. ^_^Nokia is realy nice, but if you are looking for a realy good camera phone, take Sony Ericsson C905. I have it for 14 days now, and i must say i am impressed...it has everything what you would ask for and the pictures are great !
Dani, 23 Feb 2009Abit Overpriceda bit!??? Are you serious? This is an insolent prise for this crap!
I suggest an alternative to the N86 if the price is seriously over £600.00. Buy the N85 or N79 depending on form factor preference for £320 approximately. Then spend £200 on a fantastic dedicated 10-12 MP camera from a quality name. Total: £520.00 Saving £100.00.
Makes sense, doesn't it?
