Still no flying cars!
not to mention the docomo 201X concept.. how hard is it to copy those tow videos?
I really try to think Nokia not an innovator, but in a sense their most innovative thing they have though of is the nano technology phone concept... now where does the microsoft come into this.... copy
A seamless interconnectivity is what everyone is aspiring towards. Worth noting, though, that windowing environments are not the only possible user interfaces to connect with the digital world. The video also makes bold assumptions about the affordability of such technology in the social and economic environments.
I want a folding display(for a mobile phone) ASAP

Expert, 04 Mar 2009You should think as well, my man! Technology did slow down tremendously in the last 5 years. ... moreMight add, one instance of hologram usage does not indicate it is ready for widespread adoption. And like the author said, tech has by historical standard advance a lot. Just that those who have been living for only 10 years might think its slow in the past 5. Those older will tell you its moved a lot in the past 20 years and is actually accelerating.

You make little to absolutely no sense.

You are simply not aware what has been achieved in the last 10 years in research and development. But, because profit is the most important think these days, companies have slowed down the release of their new developments. They don’t build phones with 12MP camera right away even if they could, they build in steps. 2-5-8-12MP slowly selling every step. This is completely logical if you think a little.
Did you know that Hungarian scientists have patented full 3D hologram back in 1996? Probably you don’t. What happened? Philips bought it and buried it, because first they want to profit on LCD TV’s. This year they have released the first semi hologram TV. They could release the full hologram producing device, but who would buy all these LCD`s than?
What about electric cars? How many patents GE have bought and buried just because they want to sell more cars using old technology? I could continue but I won’t. Search on Internet if you wish.
Technology is purposely slowed down. Just blind people like you don’t realize it.
awesome...
still waiting...
It's reassuring to see that we will soon have solutions to problems we never actually had.
Anonymous, 03 Mar 2009yeah rite thats some MS B.S.
they cant even get win 7 to come out on time and theyre planin... moreJudging by Microsoft's post PPC strategy of big jumps only after 2 or 3 iterations, it seems WM7.0 was originally planned as WM8.0 and WM6.5 probably as WM7.0. But Nokia and IPhone pushed the limits a bit, forcing them to change the product's lifecycle. Pushing forward WM8.0 as WM7.0 and temporarily bridging the gap by updating the WM6.0 platform with some WM7.0 features and calling it WM6.5.
I don't know about that.. Looks cool!, but, I don't know..
It has a funny look into it. Or maybe its just me! v(n_n)v

Expert, 03 Mar 2009In 2019???!!! It is really disturbing how technology advancement is slowed down… We should ... more'Expert';
You make little to absolutely no sense.
'technology is slowing down at a disturbing rate' ???
To much mercury in your diet?
off your lithium?
technology has done nothing but snowball at an exponentially explosive rate since the industrial revolution.
Baby boomers grew up without so much as a tiny black and white tv. now you can watch a screen the size of a skyscraper in 3d no less or live stream from a phone in your pocket. PC's have only been around since the 80's... and they were little more than Atari's now look what a computer can do... look at the web.
Think... then speak ''expert''
Great innovation !!!
when it become real
Touchscreen is revolutionary but I saw no holograms in the video. By 2019, holograms should be available to the public. CNN used it already on TV. Am gonna go play this video on my ipod touch right now. Long live the cool geeks with cool gadgets.
Now thats too good to be true, it will take another 30 years or maybe more
Microsoft must first fix the serious problems with their own operating system and Windows Mobile before going ahead with something like that.
AWESOME! This will be a revolution!
