A new expensive fone like this with a T9 keypad?? You're joking. Bit like buying an expensive car with a manual trans and no syncro between gears..
Have a strong feeling the technology doesn't work with touchscreens yet as otherwise cannot think why anyone would make a high end phone with a button pad, unless your Blackberry of course.
Rich doomsday preppers are going to go ape... for this.
It's not actually perpetual, it's just sustained by photo-voltaic charging. Like any other phone out there, the battery itself will still die after a few years.
If I would be lost in an island it perpetual thing could be very useful to play angry birds for the eternity.
this made my day so funny.......thousands dollars phone with an unusefull tech.....in order to talk 1 minute the phone must be placed in sunlight all day long :))))))))))))))))
This proves that iPhones don't prove how rich you are, just like iFans delusion.

I hope you understand what patents are designed for.

But neither had it like this, that's why I mean it's innovation. Can't wait to see it being implemented by others except crapple, cause those greedy bastards will patent it.
Okay, this is one luxury phone that actually looks good. Looks very nice.
Smuti, 05 Apr 2014Now this is innovation, not what crapple does. It's great, but solar charging on phones has been around for a while. SHARP pioneered it way back in 2009 with the SH-08A and 936SH. The design wasn't as clever, but the principle is the same.
ganjaboy03, 04 Apr 2014wow!!!! really!!!! surely this will be costlyThat's the whole point, only having 1911 unit in existence will make it pretty exclusive, and thus expensive.
nice ... 10 years ago. although the ideea with solar charge is impresive. now let´s see if it works with touch screens :)
