There are still many popular apps which are available in iOS and Android but not in Windows.
Windows is still lacking behind in term of apps.
Ellz Rouge, 08 Apr 2014Will come soon after Samsung updates original Galaxy S to Kit Kat, if you are patient enough..... moreYou just proved to the world how ignorant you really are. First of all the Samsung Galaxy S came out in 2010 with a single core 1 GHz cortex-A8 CPU. Why didn't Microsoft release WP8 for the single core WP7 devices? Because the processor is old and slow. BTW if you really want to, you can install a 3rd party ROM on the Galaxy S which will bring it up to kitkat.

refocus app already exists on windows phones, but for the moment it's a Nokia branded app - Microsoft will just integrate this in the OS now. But unfortunately (I own a Lumia 1020) the results are not very good. It only makes sense to use it in certain situations - it is far far away from Lytro (at least what I read in reviews about it)
Im fairly new to Windows 8 Mobile having previously briefly owned HTC 8S and Nokia Lumia 520.
Both had issues ie inability to to personalize ringtones for text message which my Lumia 1020 can now do with the Black Update.
I am looking forward to seeing improved facilities with Windows 8.1 Mobile and any GDR Updates as Windows 8 Mobile still can be improved.
Anyone know when 8.1 will be available for update for my Lumia 1020? My handset is unbranded and open to any network.
Most Phone Manufacturers will probably tell you that the Android Phones are not downgradeable but really as they Manufacture the phones I cannot see why they cannot flash them with the old firmware.
Trouble with Android is that most of the firmwares seem to have some sort of bug issue and really it should be up to the Manufacturer such as Samsung for example plus Android and Google to fix the bugs on the manufacturers version of the handset. People should not have to upgrade to later or previous versions of firmware just to fix bugs in one the phone owner has got when they purchased the phone. Only reason for firmware updates should be improved overall function by adding extra facilities and they should not slow the phone down. So contact your phone manufacturer and push for an answer to your problem with your phone. A friend has two LG Androids with issues with Android 4.1.2 so either need updating to newer or older firmware or bugs being ironed out on the firmware he has on his phones.
Don't know why they're obsessed with the dual camera setup. Refocus app is just awesome.
look at the HTC one's (2014) camera effects, those photos looks like bad editing (those blurring and other effects) with a Nokia 5230.
AnonD-237024, 08 Apr 2014If only Microsoft made it possible to give 7.8 devices 8, then I would be happy. Feel left out... moreWill come soon after Samsung updates original Galaxy S to Kit Kat, if you are patient enough........Never!
The next thing will be Cortana's tool box, she's got the papers and quill already. What will be in the BOX? Guess
