AnonD-256533, 24 Apr 20147" phablet??? Samsung really!! Do u never think in place of the consumer comfortability ?... moreI didnt see in the article that anyone is forcing you to buy one? You want 5 inch phone then no problem, last time i checked theres a huge selection of those. Lots of Asians use 7 inch tablets as phones, and noone is trying to pocket them. Also its not that much bigger than Galaxy Mega 6.3.
I wouldnt get this one but im sure it will be very popular in China and some other Asian countries (if it launches outside china) and we can expect to see 7 inch phablets from more tier one manufacturers soon, the Chinese manufacturers are already on it.
The only problem with this device is that there is always someone trying to tell people what size and resolutions their displays should have, and i have no idea why westerners care about phones made for the Asian/Chinese market, are you REALLY looking to buy a TD-LTE phone mr mouxace? At least dont get angry every time you see something you are not interested in personally, thats how i knew you are european, that anger.
nothing can stop Samsung, isn't it?
but, let's be positive, since it's not a tablet, but a Samsung smartphone,
then, it should have removable battery just like any other Samsung smartphones.
if it really had removable battery, then it would be my first tablet ever.
it's because the only thing that prevented me from buying tablet is its non-removable battery.
Tab 3 7inch and 8 inch both currently have versions available with telephony options

Yes, they've already made 7" smartphone. It's called Galaxy Tab.
7" phablet??? Samsung really!! Do u never think in place of the consumer comfortability ? People look ridiculous making calls on that 7.0tab of urs n u think that's the way to go? 5" is already beyond tolerable!! We're tryin to put up wth wats already there! Please go ahead and make one for king kong to use in his next movie. In fact while ur at it go for the world record and fit in 1 of those 84" OLED TVs and a home theater into the device. The point is a device that won't fit into ur pocket ryt? Nkt. 7" phone...u gotta b kiddin me.
AnonD-38544, 24 Apr 2014Lol, 7'' PHONE! Where are the times when 5'' Dell Streak was a nominal tablet. Today's "m... moreSince evolution has some influence from surroundings and prevailing conditions, maybe our palms and digits will evolve to become much much bigger.
In the year 3000 the 15" phone will be the mini
Haters gonna keep hating. This isn't unprecedented. Samsung was the FIRST to do a 7" device that can make/take calls. It was called the Galaxy Tab P1000. Contrary to competitor's suggestion that it will fail, competitor now has a similarly sized "mini" tablet. They said the same thing with the 5+ inch phablet and 4+ sized phones. Guess what? They followed too.
lol what?

For Samsung to release a Mid-Tier Phablet with no dual sim nor an eye-popping battery life at this tie is actually a miss.
They should've thought of this strategy instead of staying on the Top Tier Smartphones.
I'm not trolling against Samsung... it's just the way the market is now from the regions you've mentioned

AnonD-105795, 24 Apr 2014Isn't the galaxy tab 3 7.0 3g a phone ?Yes, it is.
If we analyze the article, I noticed that this piece of news is only to create hype. Hence, I feel that this news release is a little exaggerated.
Tab 3 7in also comes in Dual SIM in major Asian regions.
(Not sure if it's fake or original though...)
5"inch max is enough to handel easily with one hand, on the go hard traffic, etc and i hate big screen
Men, I only can laugh.

Anonymous, 24 Apr 2014Spamsung!Scamsung :P
Could be nice but it will not fit my pocket anymore. My skinny jeans can only fit until the size of the HTC One Max. Nothing larger. I think Samsung is experimenting because the Note "phablet" series is gonna reach that size in like 3 to 4 more generations.
