AdamBoy64, 24 Apr 20147" is pretty big, it's about the limit of what you can fit in a pocket.so in future bringing a handbag/what so ever bag will become a trend, haha
I'm a fan of samsung products, but seriously what is the point for Such a device, and who are your target market?
Remember Me, 24 Apr 2014To be fair, 3.5 inches is pretty much the most comfortable single handed use screen size. my single hand is capable to 5-inch, so i looking forward to lumia 930 :P
7" smartphones - are already on sale in vast markets of india china south asia - very popular with the young students - samsung catching up ..
[deleted post]Or for people who want to spend their money on other things they value more.
Remember Me, 24 Apr 2014To be fair, 3.5 inches is pretty much the most comfortable single handed use screen size. Yeah.... no. I have small hands due to an injury and yet I one-hand my Note 3 every day.
LOL. Why be surprised? Why all the negative comments about this new device? We already have 7" to 8"+ with ear speakers. I use a Note 8 with phone functions. More functions than iPads or some Android tablets.
This one has smaller bezels, better screen ratio to the bezel. Easier to handle with its screen category size. Just another choice.
MdN8, 24 Apr 2014Exactly. Maybe 4 inches if the design is right, like the 808. But if people want more, let the... moreI've got a 4.3 inch RAZR I which is fine one handed and I've got small hands for a man, however, I've never understood the importance on one handed use. The only time I ever need to use it one handed is when I'm driving and I need to knock out a quick text.
I've got a nexus 7 which I can use one handed if need be and like I say, my hands are small.
Andrew Tan, 24 Apr 2014Why not a high end model? I will consider it if high end. Agree. The only thing that prevents me from considering it is its low specs.
I love large displays and I have no hesitation to buy any phablets regardless of their size. But I just wish Sammy would also focus on other more important (internal) stuff such as power, battery life, speed, and internal storage OR perhaps external stuff that Sammy is definitely lacking... a nicely-built premium-looking design that doesn't scream "cheap plastic", rather than just focusing on the display/size alone.
what a piece of junk. the thing is going to chug HARD with specs like that. all the midrange samsungs chug. I use a galaxy Ace 3 and the thing is the slowest nugget of filth you've ever used. this thing is going to CHUG! next thing you know samsung will put hone capabilities in their smart tvs too. Then you'll be walking around with a tv and talking into it hahahaha.
why not make a phone like that with highend internals? an amoled display as well... i would buy that in a heartbeat...
Remember Me, 24 Apr 2014To be fair, 3.5 inches is pretty much the most comfortable single handed use screen size. Exactly. Maybe 4 inches if the design is right, like the 808. But if people want more, let them have it.
Imagine bringing this out at a club. Might get mistaken for a small glass tray haha
But seriously, I liked the Mega 6.3
You should see it as a tablet that have phone call functionality, if you look at it that way, it's actually useful. But it have to have tablet pricing, if it's going to be like $600+, forget it.
I don't think this is the successor to the Galaxy Mega 5.8 though the specs matches the Grand 2 as how the Mega 5.8's specs was alnost identical to the original Grand. I wish they release a new Mega 5.8 and a new Mega 6.3 along with this one. This tablet-phone is for people who've been longing to use a tablet as a phone especially in the U.S. and Europe since they didn't recieve the phone features of the previous generations of Galaxy Tabs unlike in Asia. I suppose we're gonna see the refresh of the smaller Megas very soon.
