So Nokia is dead on phone market. Well, it's a pity MS must kill Nokia to make place for WP. Symbian (anna/belle) and MeeGo was really good/great options.
Elop when he came Nokia still have ~ 30% market share, many people still loves their phones...but if you deliberate lie, intentional stop developing Symbian, kill MeeGo before users/market announce a verdict (many review was good, people who dont miss chance to get it was satisfy, ofc it was new OS...).
Even stock exchange show us how bad was the period of Elop rule and why he burn own platform ?
Nobody else will make a decision to choose Windows Phone as the only OS at the time. Maybe as a 2nd/3rd if MS give license for free but not now, formerly in 2009-2010. Lack of the basic functions, zero functionality, strange solution like Zune...Microsoft wanna be like Apple, iOS and iTunes ? Ballmer has an obsession about Apple, MS/Ballmer alawys response too late and never listen users.
It's really sad that we lose such a great company on phone market ( bad management decisions) - who else can compete with the biggest players like Apple or Samsung ? Microsoft ? They arent phone manufacturers, anyone remember Microsoft Zune (iPod), MSN Smart Watch, Kin and many others - MS have many failures in hardware so thye decided to buy whole company - Nokia..for all customers is bad day, better if Nokia will be independent company, make phones with Android and Widnows Phone or WP and Symbian or even WP, Symbian and MeeGo etc.
iOS and WP is proprietary, no freedom of choice for user, lawful owner know better everything in 101%, "user are stupid" - we must lead them by the hand, Android it may go the wrong way, people will miss Symbian and MeeGo ;
it is sad to see nokia go the way they went.my first ever phone was nokia 3610...i bought nearly 4-5 differenct color cases.
my second phone was nokia n73( music edition.again an excellent phone in terms of music and camera.
i just feel nokia had lot of money and they could have gone for a new operating system research like the google's android or apple's IOS.they continued with symbian for too long.
they tried microsoft but microsoft was also late adapting to the declining of PC market..
i just dunno why nokia didnt went with google.pride has a fall nokia.
i will always keep my n73!!!!!
what is the fate of android based nokia phones that were realised recently to market
And suddenly nokia fanboys convert into Microsoft Mobile Oyj fanboys lol. They were pretending as ms fans although since september lol
Nokia the innovator of innovators... Nokia the father of the mobile revolution gonna be merged with the mother of all software OS revolution... It is a new beginning... Nokia, they remained genuine by not opting for copied or imitated OS-->Android... Instead they choose a genuine & original OS The Windows Phone OS... An obvious merger with Microsoft will take the Nokia team and Microsoft to great heights... All the best Microsoft...
tears in my eyesss
i m die-hard fan of u..nokiaaa!!!!
time to keep my 5233 safe in a LOCKER
RIP nokia,u once ruled the world.
i am blaming the person who chose the ugly windows phone os instead of android os.
bye bye NOKIA... i will now keep my eyes on HTC. I dont think microsoft doin the right thing, cos they will produce phones that goin to fail. People only want to buy phones from NOKIA not microsoft.
Well, I think this deal is a great opportunity for nokia to stand out. Now they will have more control over the OS and will continue to push forward the innovation that Microsoft tends to constrain. Business is business and money talks over legacy, but if it means that we'll have more and better phones, despite not having the Nokia logo, so be it; we'll still be holding Nokia on our hands and hearts.
A giant falls valiantly..
A somber end for a once god of a company.
SIMBIAN...was the soul of NOKIA. It ruled the mobile world for more than 3 decades... U were 2 pride to collaborate with ANDROID..n now it's 2 late. Finally your era has come to an end..And the "BATTLE FOR NEW RULER" has began for the welfare of the TELECOM INDUSTRY..................
GOOD BYE NOKIA MAY U REST IN PEACE......
Have said enough..Now its time to say bye...and atlast wish a great future to our Nokia may be in some form in future Nokia will be making something in day to day use that will again CONNECT PEOPLE...A lots of Love
Well, sound the old military death bugle, fire a couple of rifles & lower Nokia's casket. Instead of throwing flowers atop it, throw some old Nokia devices in there with it. Now salute, to a fallen soldier, whom served us well.
i don't know man.. nokia has everything so what led to this merger and compromise ??
this is really a shame man for nokia
as a loyal fan for 15 years, i just can digest this man... just can't ... !!!
Well this is a great example of how a large prospering giant falls when it chooses a WRONG WAY and WRONG LEADERSHIP.
Or simply when An Excellent Entrepreneur of Nokia have dumb kids who do not know Business and Brand Value.
Man .. NOKIA .. was an unbeatable BRAND !!
And now .. POOF . Really SAD and GOODBYE NOKIA ..
Though i am going to keep packed my Nokia E-6, N97, N70, N93, 6600 and Nokia 920.
Thanks Nokia for producing such great gadgets till now. Want to see u even more. What company and what products! hands down. Still using Your Master piece Nokia N91. Still no others phone can't take its position. You are perfect in camera, Music department then others. You had to ride android wave long before which should defenetly help to raises Nokia sun high and hig instead to set.
