Wow, only a 1000MaH battery for a 12mp camera/video/full touch UI phone? Huge fail there...It won't last 5 hours in the right hands.
It looks like it's slated to use Windows Mobile, as there is clearly a windows key on the slide out qwerty keyboard, yet its being shown in Symbian S60?!?!? Yet another fail.
For the same price your better off checking out a Samsung Omnia HD, by far the most amazing phone to be released this year....so far. If I had $1000 to spend on a phone i'd look in that direction.

Anyone else notice the Windows logo button on the top left portion of the keyboard?
Why in the hell is it there if this phone is running Symbian?

I don't believe some people... every time a decent device (whether HTC, Samsung, LG, SE or Nokia) comes out all iphone fans scream in panic, feel threatened and start ranting and raging... Why? I thought apple had brainwashed you guys into believing the iphone to be the mother-of-all-devices? Why feel threatened then? The Idou is a great attempt by SE to strike back at the competition! And it sure as hell ain´t coming out until 2012 as some have stated. Listen, if you are iphone die-hard fans, go to an iphone forum and talk each other dumber with your stupidity... Peace out!

Either UR not a senior, or just not much of an 'analyst'
1st, it is a harsh conclusion to say that this phone will be released in 2012.
2nd, even lower SE phone has better specs than the so called "music (i)Phone" especially SE Walkman phones (in terms of sound), picture taking, communication (No SMS?), exchangeable batteries (not ripped off by Apple - Duh?), etc, etc ;-D
Get back to work, will you 'sendiot analyst'?

It does resemble LG Viewty from the front and the sides in many ways..I suspect it'll be quite a while before it hits the shelves perhaps end of the year and by then Mobile market will be hot with Samsung Omnia HD,LG GC900 along with sets from Acer,Toshiba etc..
And offcourse quite a lot with Android OS on them..So who knows where Idou will stand among them..

my oh my, is'nt awesome with the choices we have for the complete all in one phone. with all this competition, i guess it comes down to personel preference-except the iphone;'"only because the lack of better camera and video recorder, oh and flash." sony has done a great job with this particular model, let's hope it's just as good on release. wow, i'm really undecided which one to choose or should i stick with my iphone 3g or wait to see if apple release a better version with those missing features. if i can incorporate my itunes purchases (music,video) to these devices -"i leave this for you guys to help me with" which one would be a better choice? nokia 97, samsung omnia hd, sony idou? please help
