I on the other hand have a totally different proposition for HTC.
Get on the project ARA and beat the market.
You don't need to go 100%, just enough to see if it's working or not.
If it does work, HTC can be the #1 it once was.
Just my .02$
Who buy your phone with so expensive price even more expensive than Samsung and not enough service centre. Learn from Samsung not from spple because only cover cannot make you better. Apple is also slowing down because just metal cover can not be standard enough to compete with new innovative heart in inside.
AnonD-168372, 07 May 2014M8 will not sell well because of 4 not so ultrapixels camera, and 5 mp front camera is useless. Exactly, HTC is going down because they don't actualize their camera.
This is just proof that you can't make money on Android while also building high-quality handsets.
Thanks to the aluminium body - more costly to produce M8. The lesson HTC must learning from Samsung's plastic
Stan, 06 May 2014+1 on this.
I had to buy Note 3 as a replacement to my M7. I hate the S5 and the new M8 camer... moreI agree.
Add a removable back cover to these ingredients and you have the perfect phone.
Well - thinking about it - waterproofing would be nice
...Oh to hell with it! An adaptable multiple app friendly finger print scanner & I'd be all over it like a cheap suit!
(Forget the heart rate monitor though!) ;)
Common HTC - we know you can do it! :)
AnonD-203790, 07 May 2014Hey, guys listen up!
The causes of HTC's big prices are those partnerships, hardware design... moreI didn't understand half of what you said, but I understand what you wanted to say.
"UltraPixel" is a marketing term. Has nothing to do with the camera. Its just the way HTC calls a camera with pixels that are larger than in all other smartphones 2um(HTC One) vs 1.3um(Sony Xperia Z). That being said. DSLRs have had large pixels for a very long time. Thats the main reason why a smartphone can't come even close to a DSLR in terms of quality.
A 16mp camera with larger photosites would need a 1/1.3"-1/1.7" sensor. If my math is right that's about 4 to 5 times the area of the current sensor.
Your HTC One will look like Nokia Pureview 808 with a 1/1.2" sensor.
Hey, guys listen up!
The causes of HTC's big prices are those partnerships, hardware designs, software installed and addons on there devices.
-Sense is good than touchwiz of samsung, it has more features but simple to use than touchwiz.
-Yes its true that there camera is not good but they are trying to make ultra pixel as there new main cam. You really cant identify the ultra pixel but just a single shots, ultra pixel is an addons to.
=We can just really say to them what they should do to go there company big as others and to that I would recommend to have this specs on there devices.
"Hope HTC is listening to me/us"

[Please HTC! Please listen to us and Surely you will be the one with this!]
M8 will not sell well because of 4 not so ultrapixels camera, and 5 mp front camera is useless.
Cicquerette, 06 May 2014That's the thing with HTC, I'd love to buy their phones because they look great but falls shor... more+1 on this.
I had to buy Note 3 as a replacement to my M7. I hate the S5 and the new M8 camera is lacking yet again. It was horrible in the last model and it is still horrible.
C'mon HTC. Drop those two cameras for M9 and add an 8mp camera with 1/2.3" or even better, a 1/1.7" sensor, and you will have the best phone on the market.
Yes, it will not please the "removable battery" people, but the majority will be happy.
Derp, 06 May 2014We got an expert here...I agree with him. I had the M7 for a year. The camera was bad then and it is still bad now. Add to it the purple/pink tint that it exhibited, taking an even bigger toll on public perseption.
Its a small, low MP count sensor. 1/3" is the smallest sensor of any smartphone. The majority are 1/2.6" to 1/2.3". The size of the pixel dictates dynamic range, Size of the sensor dictates signal to noise ratio given the same number of pixels. If HTC would have gone with a 4mp 1/2.3" route, it would have been a competition beating camera in quite a few aspects. First being low light. My last year's M7 is worse in low light than my Note 3.
lower your price and improve the pixels in your camera then you'll see the improvement in your book. a simple as that,..
scroller, 06 May 2014The phone is not from HTC. It is gold plated by another company and resold.Ok!, 'Goldgenie', I stand corrected.
"The second quarter of the year will see the effect
of the market launches of HTC’s two key
smartphones, the One (M8) and the Desire 816 ,
which should help the company return to the
those two phones have non-removable battery packs,
so i think the sales won't be good enough.
a lot of people hate phone with non-removable battery packs.
htc is very good company and have best phone,s i don,t know why? this ....
i wish good for htc and buy m8 next week
I'm not surprised HTC is doing poorly. Their phones look great but the software is buggy. The Sense 5.5/Android 4.4.2 update killed my MMS and Bluetooth Audio. Their support staff had me do a factory reset...still not working. Epic fail.
No more chance on Q2 as long as they maintained the price. Lower it to $350-400, it will sell like hot cake.
