MaxSmarties, 10 May 2014I agree with you, I'm not happy about those specs, but I can't understand the "its price ... moreThe price is too high, because on some markets, Lumia 521 (the 1GB RAM version of Lumia 520) is 125 euros. Also, the 512MB RAM Lumia 520 is 99 euro (VAT-included, full-price).
Yes, the price is obnoxious. Also, Lumia 630 still has NO FLASH LED! Even Lumia 610 (WP7) has a Flash LED.

MaxSmarties, 10 May 2014Lumia 520's official price, when it was released, was 199€, way higher than this.And that was fine a year ago, the 520 was and still is a competitive phone, but this 630/635 is pretty odd; it has less RAM than the 525 and lots of things less than the 625.
Both the 620 and 625 had flash and front camera, the 620 even had a compass and the 625 does 1080p video, so it's really crazy they made a 630 that is a downgrade even compared to the Lumia 525 (in terms of RAM). The price might be right but the naming is very wrong.
Realistically, these phones might sell better if there was a separate identity for each one, but Lumia phones run similar hardware, the same software, with minor differences between each model. Microsoft have made it almost impossible for Nokia to differentiate its products and Nokia are offering way too many similar choices. I like Nokia phones, but they have been hampered by Microsoft and their individuality has been crushed.

destro, 09 May 2014Just another nokia. Good luck with the salesSales of low cost Lumia are quite strong in Europe and in Italy in particular.
I wonder will they release successor to 520/525 or is that price range reserved to x-series and that's the reason of somehow poor upgrade to 600-series? Afterall I think 630 is on lower price range than 620 used to be.
M and M, 10 May 2014I love almost all Lumias, but not the 630/635;
The 625 will give you a slightly bigger screen... moreindeed. my idea for Lumia 630 specs:
-up to 42.2Mbps DL & 5.8Mbps UL
-Wifi, Bluetooth v4.0 & NFC connection
-8GB, 1GB RAM, Micro SD up to 128GB
-5MP camera, LED Flash, 1MP front-facing camera
p/s: price gonna higher than this (but match with the value)
How gives Nokia Ideas of releasing such stupid phones?
Ram 512 and cpu quad?
Windows Doesn't need a quad cpu but ram should be 1 GB for Cortana as it consumes cpu now. Waste of money.
Why no flash?
Edges are so wide.
Still expensive for an OS which is new.
Should have the same camera used in Lumia 720 6.7 mp at least also front cam.
We are dying to see Windows Phones credit goes to Microsoft for making devices they are undesired to buy and then they blame customes don't prefer Windows. There is no budget Windows Phone as compare to Android.
In our country all Windows Phones are out of stock then how can someone use Windows Phones?
WP is not gaining market just because of miser approach of Microsoft shame on you.
630/635 should be the upgrade of 625 but i think nothing is new in it except quad-core cpu and the 8.1 os...I heard, despite of the fact that it has got 512MB ram it can run all the apps on the store because of the os. Is it true?
there's no camera shooter button,,,,
my be BB Z3 with its OS 10 can be alternative choice,,,,
I love almost all Lumias, but not the 630/635;
The 625 will give you a slightly bigger screen, rear camera flash, front camera and 1080p instead of 720p recording, all of which Nokia has removed in this 6 series "upgrade". This is certainly one of the oddest releases I have ever seen, this thing is more the 530, on both price and specs but is nothing like the successor of the Lumia 625.
destro, 09 May 2014Just another nokia. Good luck with the salesThis thing is gonna sell light hotcakes, a quad core phone with gorgeous disp[lay, optional 4G LTE for around 150-170,- that's kinda insane. It's predecessor the 520 is the reason Nokia and Windows Phone haver taken off in the first place :P. do research, then comment ;)
