Just create an itunes account with us mailing address. you could use some fake us address and create one account. You dont even need credit card anymore. Also, you could use your both canadian and US account on the same phone

i've been waiting and waiting for this app to come to iphone, but here in canada it has not been released. I feel really screwed over, does anyone have any idea why it hasn't released here or when it is going to be.

skypes been on other phones for years, and no wi... morewhat wifi restrictions are you talking about...? i connected to wifi and it works fine~ and i tried it in North America with my dad in Hong Kong, he said that it sounds MUCH better than his HTC version of skype, so it's not ALL about WHEN it comes out, but it's about the quality as well. Not only that, the sound quality actually matches or even surpasses that of a wired phone, which is impressive.
The only major drawback is the battery drainage, which GSMArena mentioned. Hope they can work around that, but not sure if much can actually be done.

I would say it makes more sense to compare the iPhone with say, the N96 or something like that. I'm not even an Apple fanboy and i think your comparison is unreasonable.
