Its gotta be 801 snapdragon and a higher fideility screen, whats the point in having a z2 compact when really its just a z1+ compact

Unfortunately, it can't be unlocked and used by another cellular operators since KDDI doesn't offering SIM-Unlock program for their line-ups.
I doubt of it. I think it won't be Z2 Compact due to nothing new in A2. And remember it likely Xperia A (Japanese Xperia ZR) successor rather than Xperia Z1 Compact successor.
I dont want no 4.3 720p, thats lame. 4.5" Full HD, deliver4 high end or go home Somny, this isnt any better than S5 Mini and M8 Mini, just faster processor that noone need most of the time. Very disappointed.
AnonD-258086, 14 May 2014i hope they put stereo speakers as well.Yeah, stereo speakers would be nice. The screen size is perfect, I just hope it can deliver.
Yes, this might finally be it!
I really wanted the Z1 compact, but the flash-bleed issue killed it for me. If this one fixed the problem, and brings along the same specs as that of the Z2, I AM SOLD.
If you subcribe to sonyxperiajp(I subcribe it) in youtube, you will now something more about xperia japan model. Although I never even understand one word written in it.
AnonD-206292, 14 May 2014I don't see any good reason to buy A2, as it is completely similar to Z1 Compact.
Three thi... moreSince the Xperia A is a Japanese version of Xperia ZR, so I believe this A2 is either a ZR successor or just a Z1C with new patch of colours, I agreed with you that it would be nice to see Z2C have a bigger display and battery.
But the main goal of the compact version is to keep things small, so perhaps the compact version should not follow the current trend which the successor will always gone bigger than its predecessor. Or else, the compact version will eventually be become not-compact anymore...
For those who think the code names are all about Assassin's Creed.
Z2 was called Sirius. Both Altair and Sirius are stars. Think again.

Three things are absolutely necessary for me to buy Z2 Compact.
1.4.5 or 4.6 inch 720p IPS Screen
2.Ram should be 3gb
3.2500 mAh battery atleast.
And I'd also like to see dual speaker on the front.
Anonym, 14 May 2014Also let's hope the flash-bleed issue that affected so many Z1 Compact units is fixed once and... moreAgreed.
This was THE mini flagship I had been waiting for. I like Sony products but the Z1c let me down. I'm truly hoping this device delivers.
Nice "Altair" and what is next " Ezio /desmond"
may b "kenway"?
Anyway it should remain a compect and not exceed 4.3"
AnonD-212255, 14 May 2014Uh, no.
The Xperia line up are always uni body with no removable covers.
However, let's ... moreAlso let's hope the flash-bleed issue that affected so many Z1 Compact units is fixed once and for all in the Z2 Compact.
It's such a shame that a phone with a camera like the Z1 Compact produced photos (in the night with flash) that ranged from pure unusable crap to just poor quality given the prominent flash in a part of the photo.
Thankfully I've been hearing reports that this issue has been fixed in the very latest Z1 Compact units, but previous owners who are affected by this are still stuck with no solution in sight.
A very few superficial changes, and SONY thinks that they can call it "Z2 Compact" yet it's pretty much the "Z1 Compact?" In which universe?
AnonD-175721, 14 May 2014So it's still has huge bezels all around.
Sony should've made it slimmer & put at least a... morehuge bezels? so as per you integrating flagship specs in a smaller version is an easy task?
anyways no phone can have bigger bezels then that of a iPhone or HTC
