They take advantage of the colors mentioning it special color having slightly different price in market than the standard (black) color. hence they make alot of money from it :)
no matter how the back looks, even if they made it with real gold.....because most people cover the back with protective case.....now everybody interested about front look and less bezels
WTF it is the same One M8 in different paint..does that deserve to be NEWS ?
Anonymous, 15 May 2014The problem is because for HTC.. no matter what color what shade..
The front is ALWAYS that... moreI don't think they're lazy.
Machining metal is harder and takes much longer time than plastic moulding/injection.
Besides, even without paint, the M8 would still look better than other phones in their glitziest colors.

The front is ALWAYS that large HTC logo.. and thick black bezel on black screen.
Its like they are lazy.. and build the same front cover, and different back covers and paste together.
Look at other brands, they at least took the effort to make a red phone look red all over.
It would be cooler if they bring back interchangeable covers just like Nokia in their heyday, except this time it's metal, uni-body and much more awesome!
Red, blue and most other colors look cool but I think you kind of get bored of them after a while. Personally I loved the Black finish that was with the reported M8 prime a few days ago.
I bought the red M7 and I really liked it, but only for a couple months. This time around I bought the M8 in the gun metal grey color. It's a sharp looking mobile. There's something about mobiles that just seem to look their best in darker colors.
But, if you are fond of the color red, HTC did a great job capturing a nice, classy metallic red.
