Should help keep it cost effective, which is one of the G2's strongest features. The little teaser video showed a speaker 'thumping' so I imagine the audio should be good.
I like the curve, but I can't shake the fear the 2k display will have crap contrast. I think I may have to wait for a Flex refresh to see if they fix the OLED problems before upgrading.

Their hand is forced because there are too many brainless zealots out there in the reviewer community asking for this BS. Marketing depts are probably under pressure to prevent swaying of public opinion due to such reviews.
the colored bottom bar looks quite pleasing, actually. A smart move by LG IMO.
Hyped for this one, seems LG is really on the right track, if the new UI rumors were true, it seems we have the best phone of 2014.

Replacing such an elaborately made metal body is not cheap when it scuffs bad. And just how many people do you think will be really ok to leave that scuff on for everyone to see? That would make the whole point of the metal body finish pointless. Metal body in smartphones exists simply to flaunt, nothing more. It serves no other purpose.
People can brag lie twist all they want but their phones WILL fall from their hands at some point in time. We are using these things more frequently than we did with feature phones and even those fell. If anyone says otherwise as to how careful they are or how they never had a phone fall on them then I am king of England.
You want premium feel and look? Then what does it matter if it's plastic underneath? All in the mind bro, all in your mind.
I love it. It looks so simple and elegant. Such a great comeback from LG. The only downside might be loudspeaker. It should go on the front. Other than that, love it.
You have to admit this phone is a looker for that dark front screen area and it's slim bezels. The size may not be everyone's cup of tea, just like the Galaxy Note series is not for everyone, but this sure is the those compact 5.5" phablet out there.
If the battery life can match the LG G2 taking into consideration standard generational improvements in panel efficiency despite the QHD resolution which quite frankly overkill, it would still be impressive. This of course assumes that the GRAM tech is retained for this model otherwise the battery life will significantly suffer.
Luckygoldstar, 18 May 2014In my opinion, maybe it much better if the whole front is black. But anyway its awesome. Peace :)They will also release a black version..
boybawang, 18 May 2014Yuck!!! Ugly are you sure you are talking about LG G3!!!!
Somehow these less bezels.... excite me , but UI I am sure will kill the excitment.

I'm a big LG fan,but the brushed metal finish on a plastic back plate seems as stupid as the note 3 fake leather effect.
