hds, 04 Jul 2014Anyone with zl... Should it be updated or not... Plz recommend Don't do it
Everything from keyboard to cam to playing games to browsing
Every Damn thing lags
My Xperia Z on KitKat is so great. This display is more vivid and fine. It runs smooth and fast. Charging time is longer but battery lasts longer too. I'm happy that I decided to update it to Kitkat. Mine is C6603 with build number .233 and I'm from Manila Philippines.
My zl kitkat... Wifi always on. Battery useage shows it never off though the sign of the status bar goes out
Hi. my xperia Z is now running smooth. I think the laggy effect is a side effect after the update but its only for a while. Now, I'm happy with the performance of my phone, its very smooth unlike before and the battery life is so good too. It take long to charge but when I use it, the battery lasts better than before.. im currently using the .233, im from Manila
Frankly I don't feel it ia much different... Instead I lost the earlier beautiful themes whicj were in build also recent call widget also dissappeared
The backup i created on jelly bean doesn't work on kitkat....can anybody help
Those who are facing lags just put force gpu rendering on in developer options nd restart the lag would go
I updated my zr through Ota, works fine after removing the backup option and ya the battery takes a long time to charge it took whole night to charge 50% battery so update on your own risk
Guy's please update about xperia z, i am from india still no update. My phone is still running on 4.3
I have installed the kitkat update .230 via OTA on my ZR. There are no issues so far. Lock screen wallpaper can be changed, no heating issues so far. Battery drain is not that; my location services are off.
Although unlocking the screen is not so fast as it used to be in 4.3.
Overall I'm pretty much satisfied with this update.
Anonymous, 03 Jul 2014How to do it?? can u plz describe in details?? Samsung kitkat can write i have seen...why not sony??I'm still on 4.3 on my Xperia Z so I don't know the details.

Guyz finally i updated my xperia zr to kitkat( .230) ota.update size 293mb. So far working good without any lag and without battery drain. So happy. Thank u sony.New Delhi,India
ZL updated to Kitkat yesterday. No lag. Sometimes wallpaper does not load immediately after unlock.
Battery performance is excellent. Had charged to 100% at 8.30am. Now its night 12.30, still 30% charge remaining. Used moderately for usual calls, gaming and internet.
Very happy indeed.
