They didn't mention about the microSD slot because it's implied or given to any flagship phone these days. I'm guessing it would have that sd card slot.
Anonymous, 21 May 2014Looks like it'll be outdated in about a week... I don't see anything special except the 2K sc... moreBack to producing fridges/washing machines eh? oh, sorry that is Samsung WTF. Buy NOKIA.
No microsd? No usb 3?
I was hoping to see these things in this phone :/
too huge to even remotely consider in my case. Why couldn't they make a 5 inch screened phone with the same screen/ size ratio as this? could be a 134X67.5 mm frame or less... Otherwise seems like a great phone and many people don't mind the size
The people who are complaining are being ridiculous. The Snapdragon 600 can drive over 2 million pixels easy (the GS4 does that also with a 1.6 Ghz quad). This S801 is going to be driving only 1,612,800 more pixels.
So if you think about it if LG has optimised the software on that device running 2.5 Ghz S801, surely it will be on par with the competition while having a far higher res screen.
By the way I don't know what game are the haters going to play that requires that level of performance. This is not Windows PC level gaming, where the absolute highest hardware will deliver the best. Last year's devices will still play the available games until next year.
Why does the phone's screen look blown out in every single shot? Especially the one comparing it to the S5's. Horrible. Hopefully just from off-screen capture.
I really hope will be micro sd card slot...I never buying phones without sd card slot.
All old stuff except QHD display. Battery too small for the display
gordonpn, 21 May 2014@RedZobe, It would need a larger connector, http://media.bestofmicro.com/4/A/252874/origin... moreexactly my mate hates it on S5 too much messing with that weird awkward loong connector .. they really needs to redesign it micro usb 3.0 !
RedZobe, 21 May 2014USB 2.0? Why no USB 3.0; they do realise you can put a 2.0 in a 3.0.bcos usb 3.0 is looks crap on smartphones clumsy and micro usb 2.0 will be flippable soon
I like how people decided already that the processor is not good enough for that resolution. It seems that everyone is an expert on processors and software here.. If you have noticed, for example, the UI is minimalistic and there must be a good reason for that. Dont judge its performance before it is released..
I see a lot of comments stating that the 801 processor won't be able to handle the QHD display. It's as if some experts were talking -_-. Come on, we should wait until we get a hands on of the device and only then can we really judge tje phone...
Nothing really interesting. QHD with SD805 would make it appealing for me. I'm currently using M8.
I hope the device will be waterproof. I want to use this on a boat when I go diving without any worries. Otherwise, I will go with Z2.
Do not make the judge immediately. s800 and s801 support KHD screens, I do not know why you're broke. much you become demanding, asking the phone to be a spaceship
I don't like that QHD with S-801. And if there is no Micro sd slot, then I'll choose Z2.
S5, or S5 prime, or any other Samsung, can't contest with anything with LCD screen. Amoled is just wrong, I like it's colors and viewing angles, but the screen dies within 2 months if you use it a lot and that's just not acceptable to me.
