Exactly Utter nonsense by this new born company as everybody saying. Just make a simple system for giving hardware: if it is readily produced buy it, if not then wait. For software update one has to wait but why invite system for hardware if available. This invite system is big stupidity as they already did lots of marketing on internet and actual real marketing will start when people will right positive comments after actually getting the device and posting their reviews on youtube.Think again 1+1.
I like the OnePlus One but i will pay the money to get the LG G3, despite the savings the 1+1 offers. I will buy a phone that is available..that I will not wait to be invited to buy. Utter nonsense...they were doing mostly everything right till the silly invite system. They've lost potential buyers of the 1+1 cuz of the long wait and silly invites. For now LG got my attention... the G3 offers what I need in a phone..except two things Stock Android and getting used to the size.
Never settle! Haha. I won't, thanks. I will for nexus though, already am.
A friend got one from the first batch in China, he is a tech webpage editor in China. The phone is big, as big as my Note2 in my hand. I dont feel it is much different from other 801 devices, even I like cyanogen so much, the design is so plain even my first gen Meizu looks better than this.
The only attraction is the price, but if u own a smartphone, i dont think u care about spending double. I definitely turn my head to G3.
Punisher, 28 May 2014I dont care about this phone, everything seems to be shady. I'm waiting for qualcomm 610 phone... moreya qualcomm 610, wait till 2016 or even 2017, this year will still be 601 majority, prolly some 605, but no way 610. 610 as low-mid range? ya wait till 2020 ur dream will come true
...To be expected from a company so unimaginative they couldn't do better than use the cliché 'One' for their first device name.
Forcing factory reset is not a good way to convince people to invest in a device they hope to use & rely on for a reasonable amount of time. I don't care how much less than its competition it costs.
Over hyped & now over-shadowed by the superior G3. Shame really :S
Bull Winkle, 28 May 2014Shady and very poor marketing. I don't compete to give you my money for a product. You should ... moreVery well said. This is an android phone simply put, absolutely nothing proprietary about it (unlike Apple and dare I say, even Blackberry). Why wait when you got dozens of other choices.
For those who want to cry about pricing; Xiaomi recently reduced the price of the 64GB Mi3 to CNY1999, or approx. $325 USD -- even less than the 64GB OnePlus. Yes Mi3's are also not an easy find but they're plentiful where I am and overall much better availability than the OnePlus.
This phone is dead. People have moved on already. The hype was too great and the supply non existent. This will go down as one of the most epic fails in mobile history.
just fedup with this mobile waiting for 3 months now its got bugs ... i will go for LG G3 now such a waste of time...
Shady and very poor marketing. I don't compete to give you my money for a product. You should compete for my business.
I dont care about this phone, everything seems to be shady. I'm waiting for qualcomm 610 phone quad a53 :) Hope it will be low mid range phone and price max 250€.
luqman98, 28 May 2014Read the post carefully, dude... -_-"i am reading the post and i actually followed it. as much as I and other 100k+ folks who followed their FB page is concern, this this is a vaporware. You cant even see a proof that someone is using it (the mythical 100 users)
[deleted post]Currently, only 100 are already produced. The next batch will be 64 GB invites, which will be 150. It's also launched in China now. The reason why their launch is like this, is because that they don't want their smartphones to be sold by third-party companies. And that doubled the price. And the company is a small company, not a big company that can launch like LG/Samsung etc.
