People do not want to be everything apple I do not think it is a good idea. It is just a way for apple to consume another business
hmmmmmmmm, 29 May 2014So Dre's next album will have an Apple logo as cover and inside photos of Dre with iphone."So Dre's next album will have an Apple logo as cover and inside photos of Dre with iphone"
No but it might be solely sold through iTunes though.
Anyway why is everybody so negative about this.
I have more respect for Dr. Dre who has met his share of misery unlike Tim Cook, whom had a very protected youth. What people seem to forget that Dr. Dre and a lot of his compadres (like Snoop Dog, Ice Cube, Eminem etc...) had a hard time in their youth. That they made it out of their gangs-infested past into a successful life and even became rich, should be met with respect IMHO. It's the culmination o/t "American Dream".
Come on guys. Be happy for Dr. Dre. He should be an example for all of us.

And what's wrong with that? Don't we all want to become "rich and famous". Or like he once produced: Get rich or Die trying!
He's getting rich and you (and I) not.
Over-price junk is about to become even more over-priced junk.
dre mad out like a bandit.
the marriage is perfect; both are known as overpriced/subpar and with a little luck they'll pull a double whammy and go down together.
Chupacabra, 29 May 2014What the two companies have in common is overpriced mediocre junk."What the two companies have in common is overpriced mediocre junk."
Beats products may be overpriced but I don't think they're "junk". In fact an Beats-equipped (or Beats labeled) HP pavilion DV7-7000 series laptop sounds really good and isn't necessarily so much more expensive than any other branded laptop like e.g. Sony Vaio's.
In the case of Sony (who's also experienced into audio-technology), they should use their audio-technologies into more products. In fact the error that all those companies make is that they have all different divisions competing with each other instead of cooperating. For example a Sony Smartphone should use high-quality speakers from Sony's audio-division, imaging from Sony's (Minolta) division and use screens from their Bravia-division, combined using electronic components from Sony's factories (and not from cheap chinese craptories). Hell, at one time they even invented their own flash-storage (memory stick). Look how degraded Sony in 2014 is compared to the behemoth it once was in the late 80's.
In that respect Beats which has a lot smaller portfolio of products is doing very well commercially compared to many others (including some big names). I can respect that (though I don't own any Beats product myself).

Product placement & market visibility!
You hear much more intentional or unintentional from both Apple and Beats then from e.g. JBL, Wharfedale, B&W, B&O, NAD, Sennheiser, Audio technica or Bose (or any other high end audio brand for that matter).
It seems to me that for companies specialized in sound most high-end companies are very quiet (pun intended).
AnonD-227986, 29 May 2014ROFL ^^ Sennheiser or Audio-Technica much much much better than beats
"ROFL ^^ Sennheiser or Audio-Technica much much much better than beats"
Yeah you're right. So are wharfedale-speakers. But unfortunately you don't see these in laptops or smartphones. You usually get some crappy chinese thin-sounding whining noise.
The only "good" speakers incorporated into e.g. laptops (usually by HP) is these beats-branded stuff. Compared to most laptops out there an HP DV7-7000-series for example sounds amazing.
So to me it seems that Beats do it much better with its branding and product visibility compared to other supposed high-end audio brands. Which is really stupid for those others.
Come on, JBL, sennheiser, wharfedale, Bose and who else!
