We are not comparing apples to oranges, so please don't make it sound like we are. It's completely in the same competitive market with high end Nokias, SE, and Samsungs.
My brother has a ipod touch. it has "superior web browsing experience", so why not just buy an ipod touch? Because people are stupid. It's not about priorities, it's about the power of marketing. The iphone is nothing but an ipod touch.
I am not an iphone fan, and i can't see that's it's a good phone because it's not. "good" is too strong of a word to pin to the iphone.
Nokia's are notorious for the best reception out there; The iphone has a large screen for web browsing. Nseries have full voice navigation; the iphone has a large screen for web browsing. 5mp camera, xenon flash, stereo speakers, Dual CPU, video recording, N-gage platform, and the list goes on. But wait, the iphone has a large screen!.. Guess what. So does the ipod.

[deleted post]The iphone is indeed a fashion device, among other things. Nothing wrong with that. It is a fashionable phone. The iphone is a lot of things but a rip off. Why do say that the iphone is an inferior device? Can you show me a touchscreen Symbian device that is already out in the market that works as good as the iphone? NONE. Again, another Symbian fan who doesn't know what he's talking about.
Nothing wrong w/ 3.2mp camera on a phone that you do not intend to use as a primary camera. And why would I need a voice guided navigation on a phone when my BMW has a navigation system with voice guidance. How many times do I have to tell you guys that some features on your Nokia phones are not essential to a lot of iphone users, lol. So again tell me, why would I use a phone's gps when my car has a navigation system already? You need it because you probably don't even have a car. You need 8mp on your phone because you probably do not have a digital camera. lol.
Yes, the iphone's big glass screen is a major reason for us to buy it. Unlike you, we have other better devices to take care of photos and videos, and again, I have a BMW with navigation system, you don't, and that's why you demand gps on your phone, hahaha. Although nothing wrong with that. You get the device you deserve for what you have. Sorry.

Well i dont know if the Iphone its for girls, but one thing i Know for sure, it cant stand what all the world knows, Nokia is RELIABLE!!!
my girlfriend Iphone got damaged in 3 months, apple just said send the phone by mail, when it finally came back 6 weeks later got $%*%^*&^ again in 3 weeks, then bougth a 3g Iphone and u know what happened? Yes its $%^&$%& up again!!
Shes looking now for a Nokia!

Also people seem to think an 8MP phone camera has the same performance as an 8MP digital camera. Yes the 8MP phone camera does get decent pictures and probably 4R capable print outs in good lighting conditions. But.. If you really want pictures, invest in a real camera. For all other occasions, even a 3.2MP camera phone is sufficient.

Its different from N series because 1) It has a larger screen than any N series (as to my knowledge). 2) It is touchscreen so compare with 5800 which is a good phone with a not so impressive O/S. 3) IPhone is more towards "Phone with superior web browsing experience" while N series is more "Phone with latest specs".
I'm not an IPhone fan but I can see why its good. I won't buy an IPhone simply because it takes +1.0 version to get something basic native. 3.0 before copy and paste? What? 4.0 before any rudimentary even antiquated video recording. What? But it has its strengths and where it does well it does it really well.

From where I live, I see more "guys" (average over 22~25 years old) using "black" iPhone as well.

The N97 would be more of a girlie phone if you really think about it, because its resistive touchscreen works better when you use your nails. So the longer your nails, the better. So yes, the girls would like the N97's screen more than the iphone =)
Also, there are a lot of more 12 yr olds using Nokia and Samsung phones because of its price. Unless you are a 12 yr old that can afford to pay 3g data plans. So yes, most kids have Nokias and Samsungs =)

- If anyone ever compared the photo quality taken by the "almighty" N95 vs. DC's like Canon Ixus 75 or even good old G5 (also 5 megapixel like N95?), G7, G9, G10, or even the latest "low end" ones like Ixus100is??? Does / can any "phone with camera" ever offer settings like fireworks, nigth scene, aquarium, underwater, etc...like Canon G-series?
- Is there any iPhone user who does "not" have a DC?
- Was camera being the main reason for most owners to buy iPhone?
I believe most iPhone owners were "well aware" with its limited capabilities in the camera area, yet they still chose iPhone (over other phones with better camera) most likely for other attributes being more important to them....

Wow, the i-phone record vdo now! Good on it and it's buyers. Personally, I wouldn't buy an i-phone. I would rather prefer a fone wit a lotta features than just buyin the fone for its touchscreen n UI. N I certainly wouldn't pay for the apps.! Anyway, that's just me. I-phone fans r happy wit their fone, m happy wit mine!

So we should thank the people started video cassettes and not the people that invented laser and DVD, or maybe we could thank the Cartwright brothers flapjack Air thingy for the modern jets that can break sound barriers. It's not even relevant, everything evolves and so does communication, in one way or another, wether Motorola ever made that phone or not. Motorola Dynatack was a piece of garbage that worked half of the time and could only make phone calls, you can't actually think they should get the credit for the multimedia and internet Mobiles today with high class, Mp3 players, 8mp cameras, internet connections, maps, 3D games etc etc that we have inovated in todays mobiles, that's sounds ridicilous. If Apple made the first properly working, that's Apple credit and innovation, not Mototola Dynatac, and if Nokia N95 innovated the best 5 mp camera, media player, gaming platform and internet connections whnt it came out it's Nokia innovation, not Motorola, i don't see the Motorola Dynatac team puttin the new fastest wi-fi to date in the new Ericsson phones, do you?

Dani, 09 Apr 2009Correction: N95 has evolved phones alot in terms of features and what phones can doExcept iPhone probably outsold N95 by miles...as I haven't seen a single lady (who can afford such relatively high "price" phone market) carrying an N95....vs. dozens if not hundreds of ladies using iPhones everyday from where I live.
