Forresters has revised their opinions on iPhones in the enterprise.
Oracle has over 4,000 iPhones in their corporate fleet, Kraft is transferring 400 users a month to iPhones and is expected to have over 5,000 users switched by December.
The reason's it's not a chore for employees to use them.
The iPhone OS is very robust and reliable.
It is easy for IT departments to configure and roll out in high volumes.
Enterprise developers can develop and roll out company specific applications without going through iTunes.
The iPhone is for everyone.
iPhone OS 3.0 is only expected to improve enterprise functionality.

are you people that into phones? i mean seriously, iphone is good for what it does even though it isn't much, it's about time they bought the phone up to date with the rest of the phones that's been out for years. if i was into apple like some of these people are, i'll be happy as well; but since i'm not:" I see apple as a rip off and constantly having consumers spending unecessary money for their products." i mean if you look at it, the iphone 3g just came out last year and people were going mad just to get one and quite a few were disappointed because it did'nt have the features they were hoping for and now almost a year later they are about to release a newer phone and software for features that should have been on the previous version. at&t will make a great profit because some people are going to pay to break their contract to get the newer phone because of camera and video only to go back into another 2year contract. apple and at&t must be united pimps and the consumers are their hoes.

are you kidding me! 409 comments over apple garbage phone is quite funny. bottom line is: who cares. rather it's nokia or whomever makes or models a phone is a phone. for as applefans always trying to act as if the iphone is the greatest thing ever invented,PLEASE!!! not to long ago the n95 was destroying the iphone on sales and multi usuaged and then they release the iphone 3g and acted as if that's was the greatest thing as well. most of nokia nseries phones were all ready 3g phones the UNITED STATES just did'nt offer 3g service here at the time before the release of the iphone 3g. what's sad is that they really didn't do anything more for as features on the phone.

my point is Iphone is cool phone and which is targetted at multimedia oriented customers. But its not that Iphone is the best phone in this world and other phones are mere crap or copy. US gets that phone for 400 or 200. we get for 38000 RS, which is close to 850 USD. instead of spending that much i would prefer compromising a lil on interface.
you like windows phone, the htc make? i haven't got hold of those yet :(

Then you also have the issue of three seperate memory areas and people wondering why they start getting memory full errors when they know there's plenty left, Symbian is not very user friendly in this regard and Nokia only make things worse by moving the location of memory management tools around to different places with different models.
I've had my iPhone filled up to less than 35MB of free space left with no adverse affect on performance.

Most of the stuff lik... moretalking about memory N97 will have 32 in built plus 16 expandable. i understand 16 GB is enough for a phone any given day. but apple in not having slots since 2GB days!! the reason apple is not having card slots could be they don't manufacture one and they want you to buy only apple accessories.
No composite video out, no hot SIM swap without those it's useless garbage.

^^^ other than iphone users no can live without these features. you can add cut paste, inbuilt document editor, swapable memory (which to me definetly more important than swapable sim cards). anyone who is boasting about video out must also enjoy the wireless music ;).

What right do you have to judge what is and isn't important with what people choose to use their phones for, what are and aren't "essential" functions in a phone.
iPhone is still the best phone I've used no other manufacturer has come anywhere near it for what I want to do.
End of story.

apple is laughing away to the... moreWhat middle school kids like trading stocks and bonds or Internet banking directly from the phone or using their credit cards to make iTunes purchases.
Perhaps they use the expense account software to keep for their tax records or the medical software that links directly to PET scanners for viewing of images or the drug compendiums so they know which drugs to prescribe to their patients.
The Oracle software so they can keep track of CRM using their firms database or the citrix software so they can access and use Windows programs on their company LAN or the network adminstration Apps so the can work on their companies servers remotely.
There are over 30,000 Apps available the iPhone has basically a full computer OS at it's disposal I've covered just a tiny fraction of what you can do now.

why all this, the "iphone dosnt have a video recorder" it does it always has!
all you do as i did with mine (years ago) is go to the apps store and download and install the video app. it works fine and makes good videos i might add, in fact better than a lot of handsets that profess to have better cameras.
i guess with the iphone its a bit like driving a BMW you dont know how superiour they are untill you accually drive one.

Few observations.
1) Hot swap sim is for people with things to hide or weird people. SMS cheaper in one line, calls cheaper in another. That to me, is a problem with your service provider. Not the phone. If your service provider can't provide cheap sms and call rates together then its the provider's fault. Alternatively, if you have lots of things to hide or a spy or something then go ahead. Most people get global roaming anyway. 5 years ago, maybe go country A get a local pre-paid. Today? Roaming. Also how many phone lines does a person want? Of if you're from this call me this line, if not that line. What? Just get a dual sim phone.
2) Games on mobile phones. I really don't know what people use their phones for but seriously, I recharge my phone every day just from calling, messaging and using the internet. Where do people get the juice to play games?
3) Video out? I bet my fortune, most people probably only ever use their video out once. When they bought their phone. In the age of DVDs, computers, who keeps a 4GB DVD file in their phone? Suppose you compress the files. Why not just carry the DVD? Also even people with dedicated video cameras with HD resoltion, HDD storage transfer the files to a PC, convert, fix, edit whatever, burn to DVD then watch it on the big screen. Also who cares if its NTSC, S-Video, Composite, etc. Just bring the DVD or burn the file to a DVD. Its that simple.
The point? Stop talking about functions no one uses or cares...

You are claiming that since Wolfenstein 3D is a game sold for the Iphone, the Iphone is therefore the worst phone ever made and that anybody that buys it or uses one is stupid or unintelligent.
