i also have a dslr camera but for being honest i cant go with it all the time, and my N958gb does a great job being the day to day replacement, my cell phone has become a great tool for everything,filming my fishing trips, pics at the club, yep it has Flash! and its a great bussines tool and it looks like a men Cell, no the kind of phone a 14 yrs old will have as a toy! most ihpone cravers didnt know smartphones existed, some of em told me i was crazy when like 5 years ago i bougth a Nokia N91 for 600$ and even there it recorded very good videos! but when the iphone came they whent nuts for it,cause they took the bait thinking they are cool cause they have Apple products, hahahahah every time an iphone kid grabs its cell triying to impress me i just grab my N958gb a show em some tricks, then i took a nice 5mg pix picture of its dropped jaw!!

The ONLY thing that makes iPhone a winner for me is its unsurpassed Internet browsing capability. Browsing the net from my phone is an addiction for me :(
Otherwise, the iPhone is really a piece of crap compared to any other smart phone.
Any smart phone that can beat the iPhone in Internet brewing is defiantly going to be my ideal.

But... morebeing the owner of a samsung innov8, i can say in broad daylight, i think my phone can match up to a digital camera, it is just in darker environments that camera phones fail.
but yes, 2 megapixels to 3.2 megapixels isnt a huge step up, and to be frank, unless they do something about that tiny rubbish lens in the corner, there is no point

But what about multitasking? The iPhone is the worst phone ever at this. You can’t run or perfume two tasks at the same time whatsoever.
What about functionality? You can’t forward a message! You can’t record even a low quality video! You can’t have memory extension! You even can’t change the battery if it goes weak!
Also what about the HD display? Mac stands for style and stunning graphical interfaces. Why the iPhone is still quite typical when it comes to high definition.
The only thing that saves the ass of this phone is its user friendliness, the simplicity and the comfortable user experience. Otherwise it’s not worth its hype at all. And for me it is already not worth its hype, honestly.

I'm really looking forward to the next iphone. Honestly, not because of the 3.2mp camera and video recording, but on the improved UI, better wi-fi, better display, and its new design. I know some people make a big deal on megapixels and video recording on their phones, but as for me, even if they update it to 5mp, I still would never entrust my photos to any phone's camera. I am just as in love with my Canon camera as I am with my iphone. It's nice of Apple to upgrade its camera to 3.2, I guess it is to appease and attract some users, although it is clear with Apple that the iphone is not a device to be used as a primary camera, for Apple knows that it's impractical for the moment to throw in high megapixels on a phone without a powerful photo processor/software to match it which would eat too much power and make the phone really bulky.
I do not understand those Nokia, SE and Samsung fans who diss the iphone because of its camera, when their 8mp camera phones do not even come close to the quality of photos taken from current digital cameras.
When will they learn that the iphone is not for people who intends to use their phones as their main cameras? It's annoying to see a lot of stupid Nokia, Samsung and SE fans who just don't get it and come in here dissing the iphone.

On a serious note:
I have been posting in GSMArena for at least a year (maybe 2 or 3, not sure)
I say that GSMArena is a pretty good website (Which is why I keep coming back - the reviews, the news update, the 2009 April Fool Joke :-) and pretty accurate with their expertise in the cell phone worlds.
I think the 'war' between iPhone users vs. "everybody else" is started by the iPhone users (Hang on! Let me explain!)

'm being fair and square here: iPhone web browsing capability is top notch... Currently the best out there.
But (please be fair and square here) other than that, I think the iPhone is simply over-rated. A friend of mind has one and everytime we hang out, I play with it. A lot.
Simply put, other phones has more (basic) capabilities than the iPhone (without paying an 'Apps'), but seems like the iPhone (or Apple product) users have been blinded with its web browser capability and proclaim it: the BEST phone in this world... (Really... there is actually none - it depends on who you ask)
So there...
I don't think GSMArena is bashing iPhone on purpose.
It's just a matter of being fair and square - iPhone is great, but there are other phones that can do greater (or the same) things... without having to be upgraded first...

Yes sir you are write, unless they start making real cameras in cell phones I will never use them. They are useless. For any amature photographer or videographer, it's a shame. I use it when it's so necessary, but the result is so bad.

I am not at all saying that the iphone is better than any other phone. In many respects it is deficient. What I am saying is that on GSMArena, if it is nokia product, for example, regardless of how crappy it may be, the reporting is positive in tone. If it is Apple product, the report is negatively oriented in tone.
so here is the question...does this site represent a fair and balanced news / review site or is it just of tool of specific companies? Will anyone from GSM Arena address this point or will the moderator just delete this post?

Even the G-1 knew that video recording was standard thus the cupcake update. Apple just knows how to market, but the iPhone is total garbage in a pretty case and everybody that owns one is slowly finding that out.
