You need a credit card to get Apps...
O... moreYes you can do that with nokia as well..., you change to offline in system menu so the GSM simcard is not in use, than pull out the simcard, and insert the other simcard than turn in system menu to general and call who ewer you want without switching phone of!
But take it easy iphone-freek, with iphone most of the things cost a lot of maney and still not satisfied..., but with nokia many things you can get it for free, yep freeeee with nokia, one year milions of songs download for free, you can call VOIP for free, SMS,MMS for free, internet for free, earn maney for free, you can order pizaa and beautifull women for free, ups sounds you are of gey go get your partners somewhere else freek lol!
Anonymous, 11 Apr 2009"I want a phone where I can pull the SIM out while it's multitasking (surfing the web on wifi ... moreI swap SIM's quite often, see, I have an Optus prepaid SIM card and my Vodafone plan SIM card.
If I receive an email from my friend with Optus, I can call her back for free, it would cost money on my other SIM and my wife would see the call on my bill ;).
Here is proof:-

So keep your old fashioned phone's I want something I use, I don't want to carry two phones, I dont want to fumble with backs, batteries and SIM cards and have to wait ages for a phone to switch off and restart.
I don't want to import a dual SIM phone because they don't sell them here.
I want my iPhone because it has the functionality I use.

O... more"I want a phone where I can pull the SIM out while it's multitasking (surfing the web on wifi and playing music), and replace it with my other SIM so I can call from my other number..."
that is the most stupid, irrelevant, pathetic excuse of an argument i have ever heard in my life to defend the iphone. who the heck in the world use to pay for 2 carriers and who is the fat lazy to refute to turn off his phone just to change the sim card
well i can get a samsung dual sim phone or a simply an unbranded cheap chines dual sim phone and i can switch the carrier without changing the sim card. haha owned another apple fanboy bites the dust and another apple fanboy should tell apple to come up with this idea on their phone.
There are some confusing thing in this thread???
You need a credit card to get Apps...
Only children use iPhone's...
So where do children get credit cards?
The camera is no good you need one with higher megapixels...
You need a Nokia...
There are lots of phones with eight megapixels and above, Nokia has none...
Conclusion, don't get a Nokia.
I want a phone where I can pull the SIM out while it's multitasking (surfing the web on wifi and playing music), and replace it with my other SIM so I can call from my other number...
Can your Nokia do that?
My unjailbroken and unlocked iPhone can.
I can also reset the phone (just like removing a battery) by holding the home and power keys until it switches off.
Makes me laugh my head off imagining Steve Jobs telling the iSheeps we are at least 5 years ahead of all other phones and then introducing a QVGA video recording!!!
WOW, lets go back at least a decade shall?
LOL
piss off iphone fanboys you know that you're gonna stick with another low quality phone that uses 3.2 megapixel with some qvga recording while other phones uses 8 megapixel with HD 720p video recording. you'll be jealous when you see me filming some high def videos with my samsung you will say "i wish i can do that with my iphone". by the time apple release a 5 megapixel phone there will be a 14 megapixel phones with 1080p hd recording
Anonymous, 10 Apr 2009 i'm not lying about the iphone issues and those problems with the phone were hardware issues ... moreYou're not lying? Did you listen in to every phone call made to Apple customer support? Did you go to the Apple store with those customers to have their phones checked? What hardware issues were they? Usually, when a Nokia phone crashes, the only fix would be to remove the battery. You're telling us that you never had to do that? LOL. Sure, we all believe you, lol. I guess Nokia can now have better phone designs by sealing the back of their devices since there's no need for Nokia users to remove its battery because it never crashes =) With the iphone, or with any phone with camera, or even with any camera in general, the better the lighting condition, the better the photo would come out. So my point was valid. But more so for camera phones because no camera phone, even the ones with 8mp, has powerful photo processors or flash. It's our choice as to what features we deem is worth our buck. For us iphone users, we'd rather pay more for a device with a smooth UI, great web browser, tons of apps, ipod feature, and big scratchproof glass display =)
nick, 10 Apr 2009let me conclude. the iphone has horrible hardware yet fantastic software. end of story.
wit... moreNick said, "with the new S-class interface though from LG, is time running out for the iphone...? *countdown tune*"
Umm Nick, Apple is not resting on its laurels yet. As we are arguing here, Apple is still working on the next gen iphone. What you said made sense if iphone production stops at iphone 3G, lol, but it doesn't. The 3rd gen iphone will have an even improved UI, so I don't know how the LG's already exposed and known S-class would even compare to the improved iphone UI comes June. You guys are really funny...and silly =)
Anonymous, 10 Apr 2009Well if it's just for a quick photo share or geo tag, the iphone's camera would be just fine. ... more i'm not lying about the iphone issues and those problems with the phone were hardware issues that's why they replace the phone more then twice and far as replacing a battery to fix a issue i never had to do that with my nokia device. now i'm stating that on my personel experience and can't say for other nokia's owner now or previous. you need to realise how you supported the fact that you need right condition just to take a decent photo, so once again the practical use you were refering to is really not there. either way it goes we must be phones hoes and the cellphone companies must be pimps, espically how we rave about these phones that we pay for. giving them all our hard earn pay, very sad
Anonymous, 10 Apr 2009can't be that practical if you have to do all that just to upload a picture and geotag it. for... moreWell if it's just for a quick photo share or geo tag, the iphone's camera would be just fine. It does take good pictures in decent lighting conditions. Like what I said, you do not need 5mp for mere geotagging purposes. As for phone problems, I never had to call myiphone support because I never had any major problems with my iphone. The series of questions are necessary to be able to determine what went wrong and to give the best solutions to the problem. That's typical protocol. If they require you to go down the Apple Store, that means that you might have done something out of the ordinary to your iphone that requires personal attention. Still, if you are a legit iphone owner, you shouldn't worry because you are covered under its warranty. Something that other phones do not have or lose right away upon downloading apps from who knows where. That would be impractical if every iphone owner has to do that every week, but like I said, I never had to call for support in the 2 yrs that I've had my iphone. And how sure are you that those problems where solved just by removing the battery? I can see that you're just making up stories.
zorkor, 10 Apr 2009yes laugh it off. I know the pain its causing you from buying craphone from crapple. Its good ... moreWhat pain? You are really weird. If you regularly send MMS, it is obvious that you do not have email on your phone, lol. No wonder. The iphone has several chat apps as well. The iphone has YouTube app instead of flash support. The iphone has very good headphones for music. And please, there is no such thing as awesome stereo speakers for a phone, ok. Phones are not meant to be used as loud stereo speakers. Yes, we've waited for copy and paste, and it's arriving soon, and we don't have to get a new phone to have it. And yes, I am laughing at you right now =)
Anonymous, 10 Apr 2009I think you got it the other way around. Non-iphone users are the ones who love to bash the ip... morecan't be that practical if you have to do all that just to upload a picture and geotag it. for as trying to bash other phones about fixing problems, cut the crap. 1: call myiphone for support who go through a series of question just to restore and hope that fix the problem if not they make you a appointment to go to the apple store.2: at the apple store they repeat the first step that got you to the store and the first place. so to me that's not practical that's a headache and comparing to taking out a battery to fix the problem i'll rather do that then wasting gas and time. how about those apples
lionel, 10 Apr 2009it's funny how iphone people always try to bash phones with better cameras and video recording... moreI think you got it the other way around. Non-iphone users are the ones who love to bash the iphone's camera. As for photo sharing, we can do that with any photos whether taken by our iphone or photos uploaded to our iphones from our Macs. As for geo-tagging, you do not need 100mp camera phone to do that. So what's wrong if the iphone has photo apps? Oh no, the iphone's UI is still ahead of the pack. You like to think that your Symbian and Winmo devices are almost there, but they're not =) Yes, the iphone crashes on some apps. We never have to remove the battery to revive it. Also, all we need to do is report that bug to the developer of the app and it's fixed. Do you get that kind of developer support from Symbian and Winmo devices? NO. We say that the iphone is a great device. We never said it's perfect. At least we do not have to hunt down fixes or firmware updates like most Symbian and Winmo users do, lol. Firmware updates and bug fixes just come to us through itunes. Again, the iphone is about usability, practicallity and convenience as well.
Anonymous, 10 Apr 2009What? Nokia needs no jailbreaking because there's nothing more it can offer. LOL. That's it fo... moreyes laugh it off. I know the pain its causing you from buying craphone from crapple. Its good for your health also. Youre worrying about MMS while I am enjoying using MMS, email, chat software, flash videos, awesome stereo speakers, Divx xVid videos while youre waiting for Copy and Paste and MMS. Poor soul...Please keep on laughing, it will help you pass time.
mizuchi, 10 Apr 2009you don't need to jailbreak a nokia phone noob XD shows how smart you are XD it's unlocked... moreWell you see, you jailbreak a device when you know that the device can actually do more that what it's sold out to be. And yes, there's no need to jailbreak a Nokia device because it cannot do anything anymore than what it already does. NO POTENTIAL =)
it's funny how iphone people always try to bash phones with better cameras and video recording option with: "i carry a digital camera and no way cellphones pictures are equal to digital cameras quality", yet they release apps geared to photo sharing with geo tagging. thats a little weird, would'nt you think? their ui is now getting match by all like lg,samsung, nokia, and sony. so now what? the iphone crashes just like most other phones espically on their apps,if you don't believe me look at the reviews on the apps themselves on itunes. i remember when they release the 2.1 software in people were having problems with the photos that was save from emails from another iphone. so they release the 2.2 software to fix the problem. if the phone was so great then why are they putting out software to fix the current software that is or was messing up?
zorkor, 10 Apr 2009Just for your info fanboy,
Nokia needs no Jailbreak, only iPhone does all the time
And I b... moreWhat? Nokia needs no jailbreaking because there's nothing more it can offer. LOL. That's it for your Nokia device. No potential. And what are you talking about the iphone needing jailbreaking all the time? LOL. I've had my iphone for almost 2 years now and I've never jailbroken it. You just love to make up silly stories. And how could you say that the iphone's software is worthless? The iphone's software is the best performing software that the rest of the pack, including your Nokia, is trying to catch up on. Nokia needs more browsers because it cannot work well with just one, LOL. Why would I need 10 browsers when I already have the best one? =)
Wow, you don't eat at restaurants? That's weird. I mean, I have food at home too, but I still go out and eat at restaurants. Oh well, you are indeed a strange person =)
Yes, I will enjoy 3.0 OS, although I really doubt if I would ever use MMS, although it's kinda cool to have it just in case I come across a person who does not have email, lol. I just came across a person who doesn't go eat at restaurants. There's a chance that I might meet someone without an email account, lol.
I'm located here in the phillipines and my local carrier launched apple iphone 3g, Im 1 of the million people waited for this to be released..I love this phone though its expensive it's all in one..guys wanna buy nokia phones, I have a fake N95, N96 and the latest 1 iphone copy cat. LOL
Anonymous, 10 Apr 2009You're talking rubbish. The iphone is the most useful and entertaining device that I have ever... moreyou don't need to jailbreak a nokia phone noob XD shows how smart you are XD
it's unlocked and unbranded more of them are old SIM free XD
what about your iphone
and jailbreaking the iphone is just a hack to force it to do things that it shouldn't be doing XD
zorkor, 10 Apr 2009Its good for apple fan boys like you to live in DENIAL. Just deny everything which iPhone does... moreIn denial? I don't think so. Before I bought my iphone. I knew what it can and cannot do. I know which features I would lose, and I also know which features I would gain. No reason for us to be in denial because most of us know that we have more gains than loses.
