vis, 04 Jun 2014G3 is the king don't worry abt plastic or metalThat has absolutely nothing to do with what I said or what they said.
Just you inserting your fanboy high horse. And not it's not the king. For it to be the king it would have to be better than all others in every way or at least most ways. Which it is not. Great as it is.
Korea wins over USA anytime. So stop quarreling, Korea sold more phones than USA, but China is the winner because they manufacture it.
dlads, 04 Jun 2014I've used the LG G3 and it's a very good phone, the back feels like plastic though even though... moreHonestly. Especially when warm and being used metal feels like plastic half the time.
You just reminded me of this.
Funny how all these metal trolls bash on plastic when at the end of the day it's less durable, still a cheap recyclable material, holds more heat, interferes with signal more so, ....AND BEST of all....feels like plastic when using it.
dlads, 04 Jun 2014I've used the LG G3 and it's a very good phone, the back feels like plastic though even though... morethe back cover of G3 has THIN METAL wrapped inside the polycarbonate. LG called it LIGHT WEIGHT METALLIC SKIN on the Back of G3 plus the frame around the G3 is metal.
that's why when you watch the LG G3's TVCommercial AD you will notice the SOUNDS OF METAL on it!
destro , 03 Jun 2014Nice phone indeed... Well deserved. Now will see what reviews have to say about cameras and ha... moreI've used the LG G3 and it's a very good phone, the back feels like plastic though even though it's supposed to feel like metal (it doesn't) the camera though even when zooomed in is very very good, for a 13 mp shooter it's superb, i compared it with my Z1 and although the camera lens' refresh rate was quicker on the Z1 the G3's was just clearer and worked so much better, balancing out a shot using OIS is well done too, they've really thought about it.
The front facing camera is decent too with gestures like holding your hand out and then making a fist which causes the camera to take a shot, eliminating the need to press buttons and introduce shake.
The knock lock is quite good with multi profiles set up and the ability to lock down the phone for lets say kids, so when you reveal your password (knock lock) they enter it and only get games, no notification bar or settings, you can rest assured that they can't touch your stuff, then when you get hold of it, just enter your knock lock and all your stuff reappears, it's a good system.
I could write a full review here but in all honesty i'm going to work :)
Would still have the Oneplus One.
You guys are misinformed. And these are the facts.
1) Korean cellphone market has demonstrated an exceptional degree of price fluctuation of handsets for the past few years.
2) The degree of fluctuation is beyond your imagination. Sometimes, the price of brand new high-end phone could be dropped below $0 for the limited time frame like 6 hours. (Yes. They actually give you some money because you've just bought a new phone for $0) And it's NOT a subsidized price. Subsidized price would be below MINUS $400.
3) Usually, heavy fluctuation is caused by the dynamics between interested parties like manufacturers or mobile carriers. But sometimes, it can be caused by single interested party who wants to achieve certain agenda.
4) In this case, the agenda they wanted to achieve was the news article. Due to bandwagon effect, the cost of heavy subsidization for initial 100k devices can be easily justified from the future benefit of the later sales.
Dazz, 03 Jun 2014LG do make some great phones but are crap when it comes to releasing updates if they even do.You are a great example on those consumers who brought a samsung out of hype from a store being told by a salesman that LG doesn't update their phones and that they are crap just because u soo much worship the tv ads from samsung forcing you into buying their many planets of galaxies and you come with a conclusion that they are great!! The adverse effect on what samsung did to you is really sad. Catch a wake up
Dazz, 03 Jun 2014LG do make some great phones but are crap when it comes to releasing updates if they even do.Then you don't know what you want :|
Dazz, 03 Jun 2014LG do make some great phones but are crap when it comes to releasing updates if they even do.You're uninformed then, Samsung is who does not update their 500 models of Galaxy.
Anonymous, 03 Jun 2014what are you talking about dreamcastdroid. the only thing wrong with the s5 is the design as s... moreThat's my point, Anonymous. LG nailed it in the design department. I don't know how they could have improved the design. Look at it this way: LG has given the consumer everything that Samsung fans were bragging about, mainly a removable battery and cover, and microSD support. But what they did on top of this is impressive: they fit a beautiful 5.5" Quad HD display into a footprint about the same size as the S5 (146.3 x 74.6 x 8.9 mm for G3 vs 142 x 72.5 x 8.1 mm for S5). LG also paid attention to the brushed finish and the sleekness of the phone. What's more is that LG paid attention to the software as well, which is clean and pleasant, unlike Samsung's colorful cartoon parade with their TouchWiz UI. It's time to give LG the credit they deserve: LG has done what Samsung should have, and now LG stands on top in terms of design and fit and finish, and as the smartphone maker that has become what Apple once was, that is, giving consumers advanced technology, leaving the competition in the dust.
well in terms of specs, the g3 rather outdoes the s5. but i think the s5 prime (if it really does exist) and the upcoming note 4 will beat out lg.
LG G3 is the king of smartphone .. just discuss its features and dont compare with any s-shit phone
Samsung's gotta hit rock bottom to learn from its mistakes. I hope this outselling-Samsung trend happens worldwide, because Samsung is just capitalizing on its followers. Innovate/improve, cater to your audience, or GTFO.
NICELY DONE, LG. My next phone will definitely be branded LG.
Dazz, 03 Jun 2014LG do make some great phones but are crap when it comes to releasing updates if they even do.Agree. Most third party android device got similar issue! Once a year after, they have been forgotten!
