danny200, 09 Apr 2009It's a cool phone, I like it ! but Nokia N97 still beat it !Ummm, how does the N97 beat it?

Internet speed 7.2 MBs vs 3.6 MBs Samsung beats N97
Camera 8 Megapixel vs 5 Samsung beats N97
Video full 720 HD video record with HDMI out vs VGA & nVGA component video out Samsung beats N97
Screen capacitive amoled vs resistive TFT Samsung beats N97
OS Symbian S60v5 or WinMo vs S60v5 Samsung beats N97
Processor Samsung beats N97
Hardware graphics acceleration Samsung beats N97
Hardware Audio processor Samsung beats N97
Divx support Samsung beats N97
Memory 16GB vs 32GB N97 beats Samsung

Obviously the N97 does NOT beat the Samsung Omnia HD except in the wild fantasy world of Nokia fanboi's.

Anonymous, 09 Apr 2009I am repairing and testing Samsung Omnia phones every day and I can tell that it is rubbish! S... moreWe have a Tocco UltraTOUCH (s8300) and although some features are a little sluggish, the interface in general is pretty snappy. Other than the stunning OMLED display and camera, the build quality is excellent and if the Omnia HD is equipped with a decent processor and fixes all the quirks that plague non OS based Samsung phones, it will be a great device. This s8300 is growing on me as most of what it does do, it does well. (A bit like the iPhone really, not perfect, but trying very very hard.) Come June/July it's going to be hard to decide which of the new hot phones to buy. Pity there isn't an open network and we can just switch phones like we can cars. (Without all the hassle of unlocking, removing carrier branded GUI etc etc.)

I am repairing and testing Samsung Omnia phones every day and I can tell that it is rubbish! SLOW like hell!!! Just like any other Samsung phone (except the Pixon which is quite good). Hope the new Omnia HD will be faster otherwise it does not have a chance against the iPhone.

I don't understand, why do some countries have a problem with the name "Omnia" ?? is it because it's an Arabic word?? it means "wish/hope"!!
