how about both, low light and high resolution? there are better android devices which shoots good low light and high resolution. U can do little research but i don't mean by anyway M8 is bad. its a great choice too :)
its because their interface is a bit annoying.
It was expected.the reasons are very highly priced, huge huge bezels, weaker camera etc etc....and many more reasons. Poor"" HTC quietly brilliant"" "it's brilliant to be quiet" and sit quiet without manufacturing phones.
HTC doesn't really cares about our opinion... But they should as we are potential customers
They are going to end up as gm at the end of the 90's but this time I doubt they won't have a government to rescue their butt
Angry Mobile Nerd, 04 Jun 2014Well deserved, nobody wants 4 "Ultra" pixels over a industry standard 13MP sensor.
... moreumm Hi there thats one of the reasons i want this phone
and no im not an idiot
i only really take photos in low light conditions
best to say not many
i like this phone all the way but... size of this phone (means dimensions n screen size). didnt like it.. TO HTC, launch proper handy phone which can be used one handed easily with proper high end specs. (eg. sony z1 compact). then for sure htc will rise like hell android market..
p.s. launch phone as i mention above.. i ll definately buy. :)
Htc needs good marketing and marking down their price is a good step. Making affordable midrange quad core devices like what sony and samsung does.
Well, I purchased a HTC One M8 Google Play Edition last month and love it. The back camera is not as bad as most claimed. Most camera phone would do fine outdoors when there is plenty of light. The low light performance of this camera phone is very good. I rather have a good picture with less resolution than a dark picture with high resolution.
Non-removable battery, pathethic camera and ridiculous pricing. They seem to be insane as doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results is the definition of insanity.
Please htc, stop making phones, you have no chance against others.
The executive that gave the stamp of approval on 4MP should be shown the door. You can't compete an any market place with something that is perceived to be inferior and in Technology you can't release a cutting edge product with a key point being perceived as 5 years old.
Other than that great device for feel and build quality but decision to run with that rear Camera was a shocker!
Front camera idea was great in market place idea.
4UP is the only mistake rest is all fine. as for people like me who cannot live without an HTC handset opted for Desire 816. superb performance. superb camera. plus there is a way to get advantage of the full screen without bothering about the home screen buttons. 720p screen does not make any difference at all as it did with LG G-flex.
last but not the least, sense stripping without add on's online is stupidity. thanks for dev's we can still port widgets from the older devices.
This is what you get when you put in a 4MP camera into a phone and charge an arm and a leg for it. Would it have really hurt them to keep that whole ultrapixel from 4 to 8MP?! It's just odd when your front facing has higher detail than your rear facing camera.
HTC is non sense. 4 Mega Pixel camera is no brainer and small non replaceable battery is useless. Add to this, high price tag and heavier device than its competitors. The recipe for failure is written all over it.
AnonD-267754, 04 Jun 2014I would've bought an M8 but didn't because of its 5" screen, 4MP camera, and 2GB RAM. It ... moreZ2 or G3?
Well deserved, nobody wants 4 "Ultra" pixels over a industry standard 13MP sensor.
If HTC wants to learn the hard way, so be it.
Replace the ultra pixel camera already! That gimmick of a camera is the only reason I shunned the M7 and now the M8.
Company should stop using the word mini!!
With phone of that size.. its not mini at all..
Maybe it's time for them to try WP8.1.
