Apple was the first only at removing things like floppy disk and optical drive and i think next will be the 3.5 jack thanks to its digital lightning connection
Lets not forget that Apple wasnt the first at anything, they just took their time and make a better product
Why apple is now copying samsung?? jajaja where is INNOVATION APPLE??? After steve jobs dead, apple is a dead company. iOS is obsolete. Better buy an android man

IPhone 6 is rumoured to have NFC and this iWatch too, suddenly it makes lot of sense. Mobile payment and other NFC use would be lot better with watch. No need to take your phone and showing it in stores etc. You can just use your wrist, very easy and fast and no need for extra steps.
Im starting to see why Apple think they can sell 3-5 million in one month.
who cares it will be expensive. 100's of $, and wont be as good as Galaxy Gear. so pointless excercise. Apple wont be able to make it for same price as Gear or they will make a loss on each won,

Lol, this are RUMORS. that means LIE !
I'm a huge Android and Samsung Fanboy and I'm not afraid to admit that. Some people may have read some of my posts which are usually focused at commenting on the negatives of Apple products (*Note - There are more negatives than positives with Apple, in my opinion), however, for the first time ever, I must say that if this watch releases with said features, it might be a really good product (that is if all of the features actually work). It's a good looking product and I cannot deny that I wouldn't actually mind being seen wearing one. Now that that is out the way, I can't help but mention that Apple has begun copying others by making a smart watch and copying Samsung by moving towards a healthy lifestyle promoted in their products. We saw S Health start out as something that most people used to count their daily steps, which has now become an actual health and fitness busy and now with the S5 (which is able to read your heart hate) Samsung has shown that they are not only focused on phone specs, but also really focused on the health of their customers. Apple, quite frankly, has seen that it is working for Samsung and have decided that they should capitalise on it too. Along with their acquisition of Beats By Dr Dre, this is a smart decision by the boring company that is Apple. But still, they are copying Samsung and that shows you that this "innovative" company has obviously run out of ideas, which were barely ever good ideas anyway.
Knowing Apple, the watch will probably cost an arm and a leg just like every other Apple product. Haha, maybe they will make an iWatchC.
Anonymous, 07 Jun 2014Surely the only way they can monitor these conditions is by sticking sensors into your body? ... moreSounds good for who? Diabetics? Geriatrics? LoL, i would feel like a stinky unhelathy person about to die if i had to use sensors like that, sounds like very serious health problems have to be adressed.
ok, and it will costs 800$
Surely the only way they can monitor these conditions is by sticking sensors into your body? Any doctors out there? Sounds good though.
No matter what this is it will become the very definition of a smartwatch.
By the way, i doubt Apple is stereotypical enough to make it a dedicated health gadget, the sensors the article speculates in are for the most part unlikely, also because most of it is for very sick people and thats the opposite of "health". if you need to monitor your blood sugar you are far from "healthy".
Calorie consumption i believe isnt possible to measure accurately without first doing extensive lung tests on a threadmill and then input that value (lung capacity) and combine it with pulse rate to estimate calorie buring rate. Calorie burning has a direct relationship with how much oxygen you can get into your bloodstream. No oxygen=no calories burned.
I actually really like the focusing on health
So basically the watch is going to prick you to collect blood samples
Fantastic im waiting
