do you have to open this as a seperate app or can it replace the browser in the 5800 and they could of made a decent slideshow in it as well with music and effects.....
i just wish it could get any faster.
and i hope i can zoom in on the photos.
wow. it's cool for my n95.
pictures kinda takes time before you can actually see it.
but its worth it.
By the way, i just installed this on my N95-4 (north american n95 8gb) and followed the instructions that were posted on the Beta Labs website. It works perfectly! Props to Nokia for making this new gallery viewer available.
I also just installed the new version of google maps. Again, bravo. It's excellent. I have never used it before on my phone, but the menus are very simple, quick, and easy to follow. The software is fast and effective. It uses my GPS chip without any problems - i get traffic info, directions, and i can also see the satellite imagery and 'street view' with just a couple clicks of a button.
I love this phone. :)
Phil, 15 Apr 2009This software doesn't even work well on 5800. So please forget it.must just be you then Phil because ive been using it for a few weeks now with no problems and many of my colleagues have it also, again without fault.
People also need to remember that this is still BETA hence it being in BETA labs!
ammm i am not sure if its the version i installed or what but the pictures actually look WORSE in the photo browser...
The "New Gallery" works on N95, N95 8Gb and N82, tested on 3 devices by myself.
You just need to download the correct version, in nokia Beta Labs is the second option for download.
And if you get that message of incompatible device, just continue like said the nokia Beta Labs page.
Maybe you need to read some "advises" before to download "any" product....
this application is running superb on my 5800 xpress music. hope that nokia will do something with the music player , like shake and change facility !!!!!!!!!!!5800 rox ! Nokia rules !!
