AnonD-187748, 15 Jun 2014638 ppi is useless. Compare with to days standard performance, we need more more powerful cpu... moreSir, who exactly has said SD801 cannot handle 2k ?.....it very well can and real life performance is what matters.
that's is great news, but I don't bealive, but if it is true I am the first to buy this smartphone, but also for all my company, before me would even millions of other reserve, only think how run this smartphone is Tegra K1 and 4 GB RAM, to be really still more expasiv, must contain the following specs:
1.Display.- 4.6 inch QHD - LTPS + AMOLED - 638 PPI - Sapphire Glass
2.Memory.- 4 GB RAM
3.Chipset.- Tegra K1
4.Battery.- 2400mAh or more
Yeah, Android is really innovative. 4K screen in 2016 and 8K in 2018. Cannot wait to see the number of swappable batteries user have to carry to last a day outside.
What a mockery. The bloody manufacturers are competing against each other just for the sake of it. This has nothing to do with innovation. This is bullshit.
You don't need much brain to realize that these insane resolutions (at such small screens) need way over the top GPU's and devour battery power.
Is there still a handset manufacturer with common sense? I'd rather have a 720P screen with one week battery life than this crap.
It's going to have trouble catching up with the big players (e.g Samsung, Apple, HTC, etc...).
This results are wrong. If it's a quad-core then it's not MT6595. MT6595 is 8 core chipset. MT6595 uses the BIG-little technology(4 excellent cores and 4 high quality cores, Cortex A17 and Cortex A7 in this case)PoverVR G6... GPU. To record 4K video the camera must be at least 8.3MP(3840x2160p - true UHD) but that's not very likely so it's probably either 10mp, 13 or beyond.
Really excellent news! And as I already said few times now, that this year, thankfully, all brands are increase/raising the own bars of technology! And so it will push the bigger brands to do even more better!!! (And so finally it will be the passionate/and all the general consumers to benefit from it!!!) So big compliments to Alcatel! !!!!!
Yeah, we can see how benchmark results are gettin lower with upscaling screen resolution...
Can someone explain how is possible that 8 MP camera sensor record 4K?
As I know biggest resolution of 8 MP camera is 3264 by 2448, and 4K is 3840 by 2160...
