Free first, pay more later for the big one.
Better to focus and make the best G series.
G3 is already quite good. Only need to add IP67 and reduce the sunlight legibility will be able to topple the throne.
LG pls improve even more in the G4 and G5 to come.
Anonymous, 18 Jun 2014Motorola is owned by Lenovo Mobile, not Google. Not set in stone yet..
Anonymous, 18 Jun 2014they said the same last year and still made nexus 5...Exactly
I wish SONY made one... With an LED display & IR blaster with rest of the goodies!

dlads, 18 Jun 2014How does the nexus line look dead? Do you realise how popular the Nexus phones are? Do your ho... moreLOL Yeah says the ignorant who hasn't been paying attention to the sales numbers and markets it is available at the promised lower prices.
In all other markets it's overpriced and not getting much interest because people don't care for an overpriced phone when there are better flagships to be had for nearly the same price. The only thing appealing about the Nexus line up is the low price, this is not enjoyed by many outside of the USA.
Nexus line up is aimed at the ISVs and android app developers. It just caught on alot in the USA more than anywhere else because of the low price. Increase the price and no one is interested anymore.
Google subsidizes the nexus line, they aren't making any worthwhile profits. Just scraps if they are lucky. You are clueless as to what the Nexus line is for. Apart from it being phone for the developers it is an evangelical platform for Google. Their returns on it are not profit it's the the spreading of Android. They have achieved it. Now they will shut it down and move on to premium higher priced lineups.
They are business they are not here to help you be spoiled with subsidized pricing. You will bend over backwards and pay up when Android Silver launches because they aim to make the phrase "you get what you paid for" have true meaning. That's the aim, it remains to be seen if they can be successful with it.
LG actually did a good job with the Nexus 5 unlike Asus with the Nexus 7 in my opinion.
Too bad :(
Nexus phones are mostly crap anyway, unless you're satisfied with abysmal and un-expandable storage capacity which encourages massive data useage at ridiculously high prices right now per megabyte.
Yep, Its going to be Andriod Silver, Google stepin into kinda of apple eco system..Premium Phones, Higher Prices, Frequent Updates, Insane accessories prices = Profit making =Hot cash into pocket.
Isn't that the usual reply? We don't know...and just straight out NO until it gets closer to launch?
dlads, 18 Jun 2014Both wrong, why would google choose Samsung or even Sony to make their phone? My money is on H... moreWhy not? FYI, Motorola is now owned by Lenovo.
I always look forward to the new Nexus each year to see its design & new O/S upgrade.
