nicksht, 18 Jun 2014RIP Apple. With Samsung, HTC, LG and Sony saturating the flagship market, and now this amazing... moreLOL! Are you ok? RIP Apple? I think more like this Amazon phone will crash and burn instead. Look at the stupid 3D effects of wallpapers, etc. Those are making me dizzy. Useless functions offered by the Amazon phone.

The iPhone has thousands of supported accessories that make it more than just a smartphone.

It's a cool phone, but also a selfish phone, imagine when you want to show your friend something cool in a website, when you turn the phone a side the menu or anything will pop up without you command it.. Ruin everything hmm....

They're expected to surpass that number w... moreNo. You are so stupidly wrong it's not even funny. 6M iPhone 5, 52M iPhone 5s and 8M 5c. That's 66M in the series. Samsung sold 80M s4. JUST S4. +60M s3 and 8M s5 so far. That's like, not even half. Learn to read from sites other than apple fan sites.

Man. So many comments that have absolutely 0 grip on the market. Anyone who says apple is doing well, and Samsung isn't is a complete moron. Samsung sells 3 times as many (almost), smartphones globally, as Apple. Do your research. The Amazon phone is an OK idea and device, but compared to a Z2 or HTC M8 or Note 3 ESPECIALLY the soon to hit North America, G3,its nothing. Not even close.

it's good phone worth about £350, really no need for 5 cameras on front... But again no need for 2k screen or 4k video recording from other companies all these things are gimmicks to sale, not an innovation

Anonymous, 18 Jun 2014isn't that bit short sighted? go back 10 years and you wouldn't even think to use internet ser... moreIts almost 14 years since i started using Internet on cellphones with a Nokia 6210. Unfortunately this was before GPRS came around, we had GSM surfing speeds of 9.6 kbps, and it wasnt really surfing since WAP was the big thing in mobile back then. I also used my cellphones to connect my laptop to internet via IR when i was out, it was fast enough to check email and my main usage was Yahoo Messenger.

Around 10 years ago it was no problem, we already had GPRS and support for html in mobile browsers were becoming common.

They're expected to surpass that number with the iPhone 6 this year. No one, not even Samsung, comes close to them in the high-end market. Samsung need 100000 variants of the same phone to achieve 80 million sales.

We just have to accept that our eyes differ a lot, it is very individual, same as bodies and brain have very big individual differences.

There will be numerous bugs in this first release which is normal. I advice to wait several weeks until at least first software update. I wish them success

I've a Note 3 & a Note 2.
There is hardly any difference! 1080 vs 720p on 5.5"
Its more 720 on 4.7"

AT&T exclusive deal will turn off many potential buyers. I hate the postpaid contracts. The total cost at the end will be over a few thousand dollars after 2 years. My total cost for the 2 year prepaid program(lycamobile) probably is less than $600(include purchasing a brand new Nexus 5). Also the $199 for 2 year contact. $649 without contract is way too much.

Looks like Google knows what consumers are looking for. It makes Nexus phones unlocked and not to tie to any carriers. Nexus phones are more consumer friendly. I can get 2 Nexus 5 phones for the price of one Fire phone.

Amazon is kidding.
