DerAstar, 24 Jun 2014nope i dont think AMOLED screen to drain battery exactly SUPER AMOLED wont (Amoled HD was used... moreWhat you think is irrelevant I am quoting measured numbers from Display Mate and compared that to LCD IPS panels that consume lesser than that for the given sizes.

AMOLED panels are good to watch movies but the power consumption is still higher than any IPS panel for the size size. The IM/web browsing times will suffer a lot, movies will get by if there are more darker areas most of the of time. This will be varying between movie to movie.

The Main Man, 24 Jun 2014Brace yourselves, here come the HATERS stampede! 1st the Samsung Galaxy S5 screen destroys the competition, then the Exynos 5433 crushes the competition and now the Galaxy Tab S takes the best tablet display title. The haters are going to be super sour, they are going to make crazy excuses and try desperately to undermine Samsung's success.

Next up the Galaxy Note4 will take best Phablet, best battery life and best something else.

I feel sorry for the haters.

MHanz, 24 Jun 20147 watts of peak power at full white, and 3.60 watts average that's a huge drain on the battery... morenope i dont think AMOLED screen to drain battery exactly SUPER AMOLED wont (Amoled HD was used in Galaxy Nexus and we see hows draining), increasing black lights in panel wont suffer anything i think, i liked amoled but the color is not so realistic but sharper and brighter and good looking really, great job Samsung :D (and still i hate that Samsung :D but the truth is a truth u know :D)

7 watts of peak power at full white, and 3.60 watts average that's a huge drain on the battery. The battery life tests will be interesting to see.

That is good news. Even though I have not seen the screens in person yet, they still look stunning in the hands on videos.
