I think Microsoft is playing a dangerous game here. For 600 euro I can buy right now 2x LG G2 smartphones with similar specs: full HD screen, 32 GB memory, good camera.
Nokia 930 should cost 499 euro at launch at best (449 euro sweet spot).
Sadly Microsoft did not learn from Lumia Icon to shave the weight of the phone a little, to add a microSD slot and to integrate Glance also for this phone (a must have for a lot of people).
599 euro was the correct price if Nokia had launched Lumia Icon and Lumia 930 in the same time in Feb 2014, now it is a different market with 2014 flagships: G3 - QHD screen, One M8 - full metal jacket etc.
I think Nokia would not have to sell its mobile division if Lumia 930 would have been released instead of Lumia 1520 (excellent model but with a very large footprint and heavy – low market share).
I am a Windows Phone user but mark my words Microsoft: you will not see success in Europe and the price of the phone will drop steeply after the first two months with 150 euro at least (see Lumia 925). In September, when IPhone and other flagships will arrive, no one will remember that Lumia 930 was even on the roadmap.
I prefer to sell 20 million units with 250 euro profit/unit (5 billion profit) than to sell 5 million units with 400 euro profit/unit (2 billion profit) losing market share in the process. Microsoft should have done what Google did, to sell a medium phone (former flagship in USA) with an aggressive price and to focus on the market share not on the profit/unit.

The hardware like all the premium lumia will be comparable to the premium phone
The only downside is that the W8 app market needs an injection of GOOD and working apps
What I can't understand is the 2 tier approach, the premium lumia do NOT have memory expansion
Mid range / low end lumia do have expansion.
So it it unlikely that this approach will attract Samsung or LG to migrate.
The other reason is Lumia do NOT offer any camera settings so I expect this to come in as only taking photos 20MP.
Hi, Please notify nokia,?
I've been fascinated with this design and model.but if it was ?Goldin silver and brown colors' also SÜPER.

599 euro, I pre-ordered the phone for 499 euro. Very good pricing, much better than an expensive 600+ euro HTC One M8 or the extremely overpriced Samsung GS5.
What's with the price man its already a late release and on that you sell it at this high price da hell
Nokia, give US users an unlocked Lumia 930.
Windows phones will never be popular in US because of all these exclusive carrier deals.
its not the same as previous ones. its similar to the 1520, but smaller, and metal body (which is very light for its size). I had a play on one Wednesday and its a dream to use with the 8.1, extremely fast, and no lags/hangs. The only negative I can say, is no sd card slot, however you get a tonne of free cloud storage (which is more reliable than an sd card)
Anybody else notice the linked shop page refers to the display in this 930 as an IPS LCD? Seems like a bit of an oversight as the 930 should come with an AMOLED panel normally, unless this is a different variant.
